TONS OF EVPs BELOW!!

What a week it had been!  Last I left you, it was Tuesday, and I had already met with the higher-level clergy.  Feeling good about what has been going on here and knowing that my faith doesn't see my recordings as bad, I decided to run a recorder before I met with my priest.  It had been crazy - they had been keeping me up at night for two nights and I KNEW they had energy to burn.  So I left my recorder running while I said my rosary and exercised.  I KNEW I caught some great things, because as it was recording I heard something fall/move along with voices and even music.  I will get into those in a moment.  That afternoon I met with my priest and it was AMAZING!  He made me feel completely comfortable with our situation.  He said that he doesn't think that we are crazy for what is going on; in fact, he thinks people who DON'T believe are crazy.  He re-affirmed the directions I had already been given - say a family prayer for the lost souls daily, pray the rosary for them daily, offer masses for them, use holy water (he gave us a bottle for each family member - even the Lutherans). He wasn't sure how to bless the salt (as the other Father had suggested), but he would look in to it.  He offered to not only come and bless our home, but to hold a mass there for my family.  Through our discussion and reflection afterward, I realize that helping these lost souls will require a lot of work on our part, and that it is a lifelong commitment.  Through our recordings, we have heard what started out as two or three voices turn into tens of voices.  Father said that makes sense, as they will go to those who can help them through prayers and religious Indulgences.  Our home was haunted when we moved in, but now they are flocking to us, not just our home.  I learned so much from him, and I will continue to share what I learned with you throughout our journey.  The most comforting thing was that angels are constantly around us, protecting us, and that when we are scared of noises or footsteps - it very well could be angels protecting us.  Later that night, I got up to use the bathroom in the night only to be briefly scared by my dog barking at nothing in the kitchen.  I used the holy water and went back to sleep - soundly.  That night, I was not awakened by children - but my HUSBAND was.  He heard children giggling upstairs, just as I had the past two nights.  The next day after completing my second rosary, the house felt quiet.  And CALM.  Everyone noticed it.  Friday, I ran out of time and energy to complete the rosary and sure enough, Saturday was a little creepier.  Besides the creepy feeling, I heard a voice in the kitchen say, "Take ____, Richard."  I also heard bangs and thuds throughout the day and evening.  Our cupboard door was continuously opening.  Even when it was open, I would (and my daughter's boyfriend did) see it swing wider still.  I decided to go through the long recording from Wednesday and see what we captured.  It was pretty amazing!  Let me set the scene for you...

Wednesday I set up the recorder in the living room on the computer desk (pictured above).  I decided to try a little experiment.  Most of our theories are slowly being proved correct, so I wanted to try to prove another one.  Spirits use energy to communicate and it takes a lot to do so, we think.  Some TV shows have a device that they put in a room to release energy into the air to stimulate activity.  I don't have the resources to own one, so I thought that I would try adding my own energy into the air by exercising on my stationary bike.  I checked the house - no TVs or radios were on and no one was home.  I then began the recorder in the living room - while I exercised about 5 feet away in the family room.  At first, I was disappointed, because the bike is very loud on the recording; however, after listening a mere minute, I proved my theory correct.  I caught NUMEROUS, LOUD voices.  Pretty incredible.  I was also praying the rosary during this time - and they responded to it positively.  During that time, numerous spirits said things like, "It's helping," "Thank you" and "Help Me, God."  Some even said they "Were Leaving" and could now "See the Joy."  After I finished, numerous voices asked, "Pray for us..."  I will share some of these with you now, beginning with the best one.  EVER.

This one is while I am riding my bike.  You will hear an object move and then I say, "I just heard something fall."  Then you WILL be able to hear a voice say, "DO NOT THROW THAT, SOMEONE'S GOING TO GET HURT, " followed by a soft, "Sorry." There is MUCH more whispering before and after, but focus on that one - it is AMAZING!

The next clip I am talking to them and informing them about what I've learned, at :03, when I pause, a man says, "Homework," and then something else while I am talking.  Is he commenting on what the clergy member has given me to do?

The next EVP is a child saying, "First" at :09.  There is plenty of other whispers before and after, but none are as clear as the child.

This next one is not an EVP - it is not voices.  I am taking the pictures of the room, and I say, "You can walk..."and I name place in the room.  When I pause to take a picture, you can hear footsteps.  BOTH times!

This one is comical to me...I am talking to them about showing themselves on film, I take a picture, and then a man whispers at :08, "Here are the bitches..." I don't know why, maybe some ladies came over?  Who knows!

Yup, that must have been it, because the very next capture is this one - a voice says, "Hi" then a different, more creepy one says, "Come in."  See?  We are turning into the home for wayward spirits...

This next one, I took a quick phone call in the other room - you can hear me talking.  Right away at :02, a younger, female voice says, "You're hot" and then repeats hot at :06.

So , now time-wise, begins the bike riding.  My bike is, well to quote the spirits here, "Junk." It's loud.  But this is right when I start riding, and I am quietly reciting the rosary.  You can only hear me if you really focus on a background whisper, but it only proves our point that the voices are not from us.  I cut all of the bike riding clips into minute long clips, as there is SO much, I didn't know how else to do it.  This is the very first minute clip - I will list what we heard after the link.  There is WAY more than what I list, but I am only listing the most clear.

EVPs BELOW!!

I recorded this session on Sunday, January 22, 2012.  My husband went in to work, my son was at CCD and my daughter was at a friend's.  I had the house to myself (and my dog), so I decided to do a short EVP session in the kitchen.  I left the recorder on the stove (pictured above) and I went intot he living room to work on the computer.  There were NO TVs on, nor was there a radio or even a phone call.  It was only 20 minutes, but I caught some of the best EVPs I have heard in a long time.  They were basically talking the  WHOLE time.  I chose the best ones to share with you.

This is right at the beginning. I am putting away a few dishes and talking to them.  They respond with "Tell us..." at :04 & :07.

I am dictating that I am going to the rest room.  THEY are the other voice that you hear at :02 (Stop It) and :10 (Come).

This is an AMAZING clip!  There are at least 3 separate, distinct voice.  At :02 & :04 a man says, "April."  The creepy voice says, "April's Coming" at :08.  At :15 a CHILD says, "Mommy."  At :18, someone says, "Jesus" and the creepy voice says OMG at the end (I accidentally cut it short because, well I didn't hear that the first time through).  I have NEVER taken the Lord's name in vain and I NEVER will.  In fact, I feel guilty typing what they said, but take a listen.

That one was so incredible, I went back and cut it longer at the end.  You will hear the child say, "Mommy" at :03 & :04, followed by, "Jesus" at :08.  The creepy OMG is now at :11 - in its entirety.  I heard another sentence at the end - but I think it's too soft to point out.

The next one has multiple voices.  A woman or girl says, "April" at :02, then "April Hard" at :04.  A man then says, "April" at :07...

The next one is the same man throughout (I think).  At :02 he whispers, "Let's sleep over again" and at :06 he whispers, "Tickle."  As always, he throws in some "Aprils" at :12 & :14.

The next one refers to a man I believe was a previous owner.  At :03, someone says, "Don't leave..." then "Stay" at :05.  After a pause, they use the name, "Jimbo" at :15

This next one contains a CLASS A EVP.  It starts off with a woman quickly whispering what sounds like a threat, "Don't help her, so help me."  It's not real loud, and it is fast.  Then, there is a slow, "Amber" at :07 & :11.  The class A EVP is the "Phillip" at :14.  CLEAR AS DAY.  It is repeated throughout.  Then, there is an "April" followed by "Do it" at :20 & :22.  We do NOT have a Phillip or Amber in our family - or even as friends.  Another clue as to identity?

The last one is not an EVP, but just shows how we have gotten used to them.  I am talking to the recorder int he kitchen then you hear a bang and I announce that something fell.  AGAIN.  It's pretty common around here...

Last I left you was January 17th...
January 18th, my husband was awakened from a sound sleep to someone breathing into his ear.  He checked and I was all the way over on my side - and it was the ear facing outward anyway.
January 22nd, my husband's alarm went off at 7:30 am - but there was NO ALARM SET!  He couldn't shut it off, because it didn't show anything being set.  Odd, right?  Yes - and if you recall, the SAME thing happened to me a few weeks ago which steps it up to downright paranormal.

I made an appointment to meet with the clergy on January 24th.  I was preparing for the meeting by jotting down time lines and burning CDs the two days before.  All day Sunday and Monday, the house was creepy feeling.  I heard footsteps during the day when I was the only one home.  I heard bangs come from empty rooms, and there was that creepy feeling felt by not just me, but by my husband as well.  Sunday night, I was awakened around midnight to the sound of children giggling.  I dismissed it as a possible TV - my daughter had a friend sleepover downstairs, and I couldn't rule out the TV.  Except it sounded like it came from in my room.  I couldn't get back to sleep after that.  The next night I was awakened at midnight to the SAME sound of children giggling from within my room.  This time, I KNEW there was no TVs on.  I couldn't get back to sleep.  I dozed and then went downstairs to use the bathroom - but when I came out I had an overwhelming feeling that something was watching me from upstairs.  I dug deep within me a nd my faith and returned to bed (although not to sleep).

Tuesday I finally met with the clergy and what a surprise that was.  I was terrified to confess that our house was haunted - I thought for sure he would dismiss me as crazy (that's why I brought the CD and timeline).  He surprised me when he accepted all that I told him.  He told me from what I had told him, he didn't believe our house to be infested with evil, but merely souls that are trapped in purgatory.  He told me that no one on earth, not even the church, knows what happens when a person dies and that there is evidence to suggest that people do sometimes remain.  He said it is not to be feared, but that I could help them to cross over to heaven through prayers that he gave me, by offering mass for these poor souls and by praying the rosary for them daily.  I asked about some of the negative words I had been hearing and he said that doesn't mean that they are evil - just that they are either a) trying to scare us into moving or b) that is just their personality.  He said that if someone was raised with violence, that person may throw out "I'll kill you" easily as some of us say, "Whatever."  He also told me to work with my local priest on getting my house blessed and keeping stocked on holy water and holy salt (salt to keep evil away).  He made me laugh when he said, "These are not magic, you must have Faith."  Of course, I know that.  He gave me his card in case things would take a turn for the worse, but he felt as though we are doing just fine with how we are handling it.  He agreed with me that they break things to get our attention.  He also said that they are focusing on calling my name because they know that I will be the one to find them help.  I found this all very reassuring and I have a meeting with my local priest tomorrow!  I will keep you all updated...

My sister came home for Christmas and is a MUCH more experience "paranormal investigator" than I am.  She recorded numerous sessions in our home over the holidays.  Here are some pretty cool clips that she captured from the night of January 27, 2011.  She recorded these during the night while everyone is asleep.   My husband has a TV on upstairs and it can be heard softly in the background; the recorder is on the main floor, in the family room.  The voices she captured are certainly NOT the TV - they are clearly in the foreground.  Take a listen!

As promised, here are some more EVPs captured on Tuesday while I was home alone.  I have included pictures from the point of view of the computer (where I was) to the stairs (where the recorder was).

Man says "Pregnancy" at :03, then a lot of extra feed after - just me typing, a few whispers.  I don't ask what it means - I just know it isn't about any of us!

This one begins with me typing and some quiet whispers.  At :15, you can hear a click noise and I say that I just heard something fall.  I then say that I hear someone walking around.  Right after that at :26, a young woman whispers, "April, " and continues at :32, "It was us."  The whispering is quiet, so turn up the volume and have on those ear buds.  It's not the loudest EVP, but it just shows you what we deal with daily...

The next one contains numerous things to listen for.  At :08, it sounds like a man says, "Jon, Jon."  Then at :17, you can clearly hear footsteps (and I am seated at the computer) followed by an odd sounding man's voice saying, "April."  At :20, another "Jon" of "Drop?"  What do YOU think?

Captures like this next one always make me feel good.  I am typing away, and a child whispers, "April" at :07 followed by a man slowly saying my name at :09.  I then say that I heard my name.  Ahhhh... When you hear voices that no one else does, it is reassuring to capture it on tape to prove you are NOT crazy!! By the way, since I heard this one with my own ears, it is not an EVP, but a disembodied voice.  Just a little FYI...

Tuesday, January 17, 2012, I decided to so a short EVP session while I was home alone with my dog.  I set the recorder on the stairs next to the living room where I was working.  There was not a single TV, radio or phone on.  I did no even have sound on the computer during this time.  I left it recording for 30 minutes and captured 50 EVPs.  I have to get to bed now, but I will share a few of the louder ones with you tonight and the rest tomorrow...

The first EVP was captured right away.  While I am setting up and tagging the date, a man whispers a soft, "Yes" and a louder, breathy one right after.

This next one followed right after.  At :02, a man whispers, "I have a guess."  At :07, much louder a male speaks with my footsteps, "What do you want?"

This one is quieter than some of the others I passed on sharing with you, but I am putting it on because it is clearly a child/teen voice.  I am asking who broke my vase in the bathroom and taking pictures.  After the camera clicks at :08, a child says, "Again."  At :12, someone whispers, "Drop it."

Again, a young woman speaks here.  I am talking and walk into the kitchen.  At :15, she whispers "Delicious." Right after that, she speaks louder and more clearly, "Deliciousness."  Oh, and yes, there are other ghost voices in here, but they are too quiet to point out.

This one contains a conversation and footsteps.  It begins with a thwack sound that I can't explain followed immediately by a man whispering, "I don't see it.  Do it again."  You then hear footsteps and a woman or girl says, "I don't see it," followed by more footsteps.  Te footsteps are NOT me.  I am quietly working on the computer...

Tigger's EVPs from December 26, 2011

As promised, I am posting EVPs that my sister caught on December 26th.  I don't have it set up like a comparison from the first posting of December 26th, but these are still pretty cool!  Today has been pretty wild activity-wise. As I was journaling all of the events, I realized that I have not updated all of you on the activity since the New Year began. So, before I release those EVPs, I will catch you up...

On January 5, 2012, my husband heard a baby/young child crying upstairs.  He said it was so real that he went upstairs to investigate and no one had a TV show on with a young child.

On January 6, 2012, I noticed faces in reflections throughout the day.  I was quick to dismiss them, as I often do, but the frequency of the sightings caused me to journal it.

January 7, 2012, I was painting in our kitchen by myself and I distinctly heard a young child call out, "Mom" from the laundry room.  No one was home with me, so I didn't even bother to investigate, just brushed it off as typical.  Later, I heard our most frequent visitor, Jim, call out "April" from behind me as I was balancing on the countertops (shhh! don't tell my safety husband).  Jim always seems to be around when I do unsafe things.

January 12, 2012, my son came running downstairs from his room and told me he heard "breathing" in his room.  This was his first experience and we brushed it off as his sister and thin walls (even though I knew it wasn't her as she was down here with me).

January 13, 2012, I held a brief 20-minute EVP session while I was home alone to help them to get out their energy and to be noticed so they don't have to revert to such dramatics to get attention.  Right I after I finished, I called my sister to discuss some of the findings only to hear clear footsteps walk through our kitchen.  Later that evening, I was putting boxes away at the top of the basement stairs.  My husband is terrified of the basement; I have never had an issue.  I open the door to the basement and was immediately rushed by something RUNNING UP THE STAIRS AT ME.  I won't lie, this scared the crap out of me.  I shut the door before it got to the top and told my husband and daughter.  My teen daughter, who is quite invincible, went down to investigate and could not find evidence of any animal or person down there.  I knew she wouldn't this was too big for an animal and too fast to be human.  I emailed the bishop again that day and finally was able to set up a preliminary appointment for the 24th.

On the 14th, my husband was in the kitchen and I was on the couch fighting the flu.  He came rushing in and asked, who was just giggling?  I looked at him dumbfounded - no one had been giggling.  He said he heard it come from the family room.  Didn't freak us out, we are used to that sort of activity.  In fact, I slept alone in that family room for three days with the flu - the only fear was that the stomach bug would never leave.

Today, was borderline crazy.  I came home from a very long day of work, shopping, meetings and physical therapy.  When I finally walked in, all seemed normal except when my dog came up to greet me he refused to cross the threshold into the kitchen (the threshold and our dog - of course NOW he crosses the threshold into the kitchen).  He is the type of dog with will jump and jump and JUMP up to greet you and to be petted whether you were gone 5 seconds or 5 hours.  Not this time.  He wouldn't even come into the kitchen to be let out.  I put my coat away and heard "THUD THUD THUD" from behind him.  Like heavy footsteps or something fell.  I went to investigate, but found nothing out of place.  Minutes later, while I was on the phone with my friend and neighbor, I was in the kitchen but heard a THUD in the bathroom.  I went to investigate and found one of the shampoo bottles fell into the tub.  No big deal, I put it on the shelves closest to the back of the shower.  I had just walked back into the kitchen when again I heard the THUD.  Even my neighbor heard it.  I went in to find a different shampoo bottle from the front shelf had fallen into the tub.  I told them to stop it and replaced the shampoo bottle.  I went back into the kitchen only to be greeted by a CRASH.  I returned to the bathroom to find a small vase that had been on a shelf above the toilet had fallen off and shattered all over.  I checked the shelf - sturdy as ever.  This vase was not near the edge - it was more towards the middle - it clearly had been PUSHED off the shelf.  I was not scared but angry.  My neighbor heard it all as well.  Later, my husband was in the living room and heard someone come down the stairs.  He looked, but no one was there.  He asked all of us if we had just come down - nope.  All of us were on and had been on the main floor during this time period.  So, they are active.  Is it because of my appointment?  Are they trying to get our attention?  I am having coffee with my neighbor tomorrow and will leave the DVR running so they can use their energy with words, NOT actions.

My sister picked up this coughing/gasping at 4:30 am that morning.  I had already left, everybody else is sleeping soundly and without colds or coughs.

She also ALWAYS catches a lot of zippers.  We do not have ANY zippers in that room.  She is sleeping with blankets, not sleeping bags.  My family and I have been trying to figure out that sound - could it be residual (something repeated throughout time, due to making an impression on time)?  We were leaning that way, thinking it is a tent sound.  I even thought it could be back form the Civil War days, as our house was built before 1860.  My brilliant sister pointed out that tents back then had ties NOT zippers.  My mom and hubby think it is a pervert who does this for my sister when she comes.  What do you think?

This one is also from a quiet time of the night.  She clearly hears, "Julie."  We don't have a Julie here, nor do we even know one - could this be a clue as to who one of them are?

This next one has not only EVPs, but footsteps as well.  There are a few "Tigger"s again - :03, :08 & :11.  There is also a mechanical sounding voice that commands, "Wake her up," at :05.  There are then a few human footsteps at :21, followed by the light prance from our 13 ib. dog's walking (with the person?).  Oh, and NO ONE was up.

Hello!  In case this is your first time, I'll fill you in on why I am posting older EVPs.  My sister came down (over?) from Montana and did some ghost hunting.  She and my husband ran two separate digital voice recorders to test the theory that spirits are in a specific location - not just floating around all over.  The not so awesome thing about these experiments is the countless hours of tape to review.  Yup, I have over ten more hours from these experiments.  So, I will be posting from these recordings throughout the month.  We had an AWESOME comparison blog that we posted which proved their theory about being in a centralized location.  We also discovered that there were totally different sounds and words captured at the same time.  If you would like to take a look and listen, it is under December 26th Part 1.  So here are some more captures from the 26th from my DVR that was left in the kitchen.  I was upstairs asleep, as well as my children.  My sister and husband were heading off to bed in the early recording, but most were captured in a completely silent, sleep-filled home.

The first one is captured when they are setting up the recorder.  Often times, we catch clear words with movement.  We theorize that they use any energy expended by us to communicate.  At the beginning of the rustling there is a soft, "April."  If you don''t hear it, don't worry.  At :05 a man clearly says, "Can you hear (it)?"

I originally labeled this one as "Tigger Tigger Jon" but I am now questioning my interpretation.  I cut the recording on an editing program and store them in a different "cloud" data bank.  Sometimes when moving the clips, they grow quieter, other times, they seem more clear.  I don't know why...something about switching between the two programs.  We NEVER splice or modify the clips - just cut and sometimes amplify (although that usually just makes the background noise louder...).  This clip clearly contains a man talking.  At :04 He says "Tigger" and then another "Tigger" or "Hit her."  Tigger is what we call my sister.  After those two EVPs, there is one whispering and then at :14 the man says my husband's name, "Jon."

This next one is rather long, but contains numerous voices repeating, "April is coming" both slow and fast.  You can hear footsteps upstairs which must be me, but I never actually come downstairs at this point - maybe just a check on the children?  A soft woman's voice says it at :02, :08 and :17.  A man slowly says it at :23.  A different man whispers it quickly at :34.  My husband hears a "biba" at :36 and at :43 a creepy voice begins, "April is,,,"

The next one is also a little long, but I wanted you to get a feel for the house sounds.  About 12 second in, you will hear a "thunk" followed immediately by a "April" and a little later, "Help me." This is then repeated again and again.  My husband I and I discussed the thunk in depth and it is not a sound we hear with our normal house sounds.  He was only able to re-create it by dropping a remote control onto the space heater. We don't think that is what makes it every time, but it is a deliberate sound, and it is almost always right before or right after one of them talking distinctly.

Having trouble hearing the whispers above?  Well, these next EVPs are much clearer and distinct.  They probably still need ear phones or buds, but you should be able to make these out.  These were all captured between 1:15 am and 1:45 am when everyone is in deep slumber.  The first one is another call for help.  At :05, a woman clearly whispers, "Help Me."

The next one contains the woman or teen girl saying, "What's Up?" at :06.  I didn't realize when I cut it that there is a response, a soft, "Jimmy" followed by the tell-tale thunk.  The snoring is my hubby upstairs, so don't think it is paranormal.  Trust me, we're used to it!  At :24 the woman then adds, "So?"

This one is so LOUD and CLEAR that I could hear it without ear buds.  I don't recommend it, as it is SO much better with them - but a woman clearly speaks, "Demented."  My hubby thinks she wants a beverage or a candy and says, "De Minte," but either way - clear woman.

Here we have captured part of a conversation between two of them. IGNORE the snoring, but listen for the woman to whisper, "You seem bored" around :06.  A man responds with a "ghostly" speech, "Sleep well tonight" at :10.

I will end on today's blog with this positive EVP for once.  Trust me I've learned most of the time they are not speaking to us, and they clearly aren't in this one, but it is a lot nicer than the cursing or threatening ones we have captured!  I am going to put together the next blog with EVPs caught from my sister's recorder - so be sure to check back Monday or Tuesday!  And, Sleep Well Tonight!



Okay...I am ending it with a positive note but I just wanted to share these two that remind me of voices from a Star Wars movie...Odd...

Another Star Wars-type voice says, "April" at :03.  I think I have heard my name spoke over 12 different ways in this house, you just get used to it!  There is whispering after that April by the woman, but a) it's whispering and b) it's this whole weird sub-story two of them get into that I am just going to stay out of!

EVPs BELOW!!

Hello!  Thank you for visiting our site!  Today, I was able to get home from work early and do some work on our blog.  We still have hours from over break, but I wanted to be able to post something for you all right away, so this morning at 9:24 am I did a short recording for you.  My dog and I were the only ones home, and all TVs and radios were off.  I even set my phone to vibrate!  I only taped for 25 minutes, but they must have been saving up energy because a number of them were talking throughout the whole recording.  I set it up to tape in the family room, and I worked in the living room (a few feet away).  I captured over 29 EVPs, but I will only share the most clear with you here today...

The first one I am sharing today was captured when I was informing them what to do.  After I finish speaking, a person says, "F@%#!" and then I take a picture (posted above) and then step away.

This next one, I am still giving instructions and taking pictures.  At :03 between my words, one of them says, "April, don't." and then I continue talking and walk away.  Towards the end, a male and a whisper can also be heard.

The next clip features disembodied voices (voices heard, but from an unseen source), sound and EVPs (a.k.a. ghost whispers).  In the clip, I have sat down at the computer and am getting ready to work.  At :04, a "Tigger" is whispered.  If you don't follow the blog, Tigger is my sister and paranormal investigator who was here over the holidays.  Again at :17, "Tigger" is heard.  I then get up and comment that I was hearing voices and I go to double check that all TVs and radios are off.  At this moment on the tape, you can hear the zipper that my sister almost always catches while she is here.  I am NOT wearing a zipper, NOR did I hear that sound at the time.  When I mention that I heard voices, a response of "It was us" comes at :27.  At :34, one of them says, "Tell her about..."

Here is the first trial....This is a short flip video camera recording of us getting ready for our "ghost hunt" on December 26, 2011.  My house is a DISASTER - we just had Christmas and are in the process of putting everything away.  My husband and sister are in their pajamas and ready to settle in - no one is at their best.  ANYWAY, I don't see anything paranormal (other than my HORRIBLE camera skills) BUT we do capture numerous "April"s at 2:16 and on....let me know if you see anything and again, my apologies for the mess and the bumpy camera work!

EVPs BELOW!!

Well, hello and Happy New Year!  I feel so bad about not posting in a while, but my husband's shoulder is still broke, I was still fighting the eye infection and my daughter is still healing.  I had to take a time out from our ghost investigations and focus on our family.  We are all feeling better, though, and I think I can now safely continue our journey into paranormal investigation of our home.  I promised that I would share more family stories from the 15th on, so here are a few...
Later that night, I sat down to reflect on all of the activity and I recorded this:
           Heard voices throughout the day - a child clearly saying, "two" and male/female conversation
           Saw shadows out of the corner of my eye
           Saw a female face outside the bathroom at 6:45 pm - she was brunette, hair pulled back, in her teens in an ivory blouse

The next day was pretty uneventful, except when I got up to got the bathroom at 10:30 pm.  EVERYONE was sleeping upstairs in their beds, but when I went downstairs, ALL of the lights and TVs were on.  When I asked my family about it the next day, my husband was the last to go up and swears everything was OFF.

Saturday and Sunday of that week were quiet, but we were busy, too.  Sunday, the 18th, is when my husband broke his shoulder simply pulling out the Christmas tree lights from the outlet.  Beginning that night, he slept tin the recliner in the living room and REFUSED to be left alone downstairs, so my son and I began sleeping on the couch in the family room to be near him for care (and to protect him from ghosts).  We slept WONDERFULLY downstairs.  Of course, my husband had pain in the night, but neither of us were waking up to creepy feelings or noises.  As of today, January 7, we are still mostly sleeping down here.  I have always felt a creepy feeling upstairs and this is so much more restful, but I KNOW I need to take back our upstairs and claim it as ours again.  And I will....my daughter, though, is quite comfy up there alone.  Go figure!

On Tuesday, December 20th, my husband had a VERY VIVID dream of a fiftish aged man standing in our hallway between our kitchen and bathroom. He is CERTAIN this was Jim.  He wasn't afraid of the man, just certain.  If you haven't been following our site, you probably aren't aware that my husband has a thing with dreams.  He  occasionally wakes up to report a VIVID dream, and most of the the time they come true.  He SERIOUSLY had one of these dreams before September 11th and the most incredible prediction was of the Columbia exploding.  He doesn't claim to be be psychic - it doesn't happen often, but he knows he has a "knowing" in his dreams.  I believe him and those that know him do, too.

Thursday of that week, my alarm was set for 2:46 am and 2:50 am (yes, I set two alarms...).  I awoke to my alarm going off at 2:12 am!  I was shocked and confused.  Instead of going back to sleep, I tried to figure it out - but there was no explanation, the original alarms were still set and there was no other alarm.  I finally gave up and got up, only to find there was a roaring snow storm going on outside!  Since I was up early, I was able to get ready early and drive super slow.  That was either the Good Lord looking out for me or our friends, but somebody saved me from driving too fast and spinning out!  When I arrived home at noon I used the restroom and then had lunch.  When I walked by the bathroom later, the doors were closed and the light was on.  I REMEMBER CLEARLY turning the lights off and leaving the doors open.

On Christmas Eve morning, my husband and I were packing up for visits to family and we were talking about EVPs we have caught.  We were in the kitchen with the dog when we both heard a thud next to us and even the dog jumped and then assumed the protection stance and barked at the air.  Later that evening, we returned home and I went up and laid by my son as he fell asleep.  While I was lying there, I clearly heard a woman speaking.  I went downstairs and asked my husband where our daughter was and he said she wasn't home yet.  No other woman was in our home, nor outside.

On Christmas day, my sister came over after my daughter's accident to sit with us.  She used her new infrared temperature gauge that (ahem!) some wonderful sister got her for Christmas to verify a cold spot in front of me while we were int he family room.  She also heard someone say, "Mackenzie" while she was in the family room.  She immediately checked with everyone and no one said her name.  I heard my name spoken by one of them and my sister also heard what she thought was "kill" (not in relation to any of the names).  NOT very Christmasey!!

On the 27th, my sister and son were home alone.  They were on the same floor but in separate rooms when she clearly heard a man laughing.  She ran to check for someone in the home or on TV - no explanation.

On the 28th, my husband and I were home alone.  I was in the kitchen and he was resting in the living room. He came into the kitchen and said, "What?"  I said what back.  He said he just heard me call for him from the kitchen.  Not me...

On the 30th, my husband heard a woman talking in the afternoon - not from anyone in the house.  I heard a young child say, "Mommy" from the adjoining room when there was no one in it and all children were in the room with me - not talking.  About 11 pm, I heard my name called in the kitchen - this last one prompted my husband, sister and I to do an active EVP session.  It began in the kitchen, then moved to the family room and ended in our daughter's room on the main floor.

The first one was captured in the kitchen, when we were getting set up.  You will hear my sister speaking, someone pouring soda, then my husband exhale and finally me.  That is all of the adults in the house.  Our nine year old is upstairs, sleeping.  What you are listening for in this clip is is first oat :09, "For April."  At :15 you will hear the same unaccounted for voice say, "April, what's in it?"

The last one I am going to share from the kitchen is this next one.  The recorder is still in the kitchen; although we have moved into the family room.  You can hear our quiet voices in the background.  At :03, listen for the "April" that is spoken by a voice that is NOT ours.

The next one is captured once we have moved the recorder in by us in the family room.  It is on the black table near the furnace grate.  Not the "greatest" spot, but we have another recorder in the prime spot by us for comparison.  My sister is still reviewing that one, but on this one she is asking the question, "Can you move something for us?" and while she is asking it a man answers her mid-question, 'Oh, yeah."

The next one is MY favorite of the night.  At :08, you will hear a young child CLEARLY say, "Thank you."  For you super listeners, there is whispering afterward, but it is tough to hear.  The child, though, is not.

The next one features my sister and husband discussing moving to our daughter's room.  At :07, I say, "Sure" which is immediately followed by a man whispering, "I'll move."

The next clip contains us not having moved yet, but still discussing a shadow we have seen.  At :02, a man whispers, "Catholic" then at :07 "Cathy."  Later in the clip is a harder to hear, "No can."

I HATE this next one.  Ugh.  Wasn't going to post it, but I think after listening over again, I believe they are talking to each other - NOT us.  We are officially moving to the last room, henceforth the shuffling.  At :02 someone whispers, "I'm going to kill you."  At :07, the same man speaks, "I'm gonna HIT you."  At :16 a woman says, "Hear me?" and at :21, she whispers quietly, 'You scared me."

I also don't really care for this next one. At :02, a soft "April" can be heard.  At :07, you will hear a CREEPY "April" with movement.  It is NOT the movement, I analyzed it with our editing program and was able to see different human speech wavelengths.  At :20 a man whispers, "Crack."  At :30, the man then whispers four distinct words, but I can't make them out - can you??
