Update

Hello, Everyone! 

Thank you for coming to visit our site...BOTH of our computers died, so I am only able to use the library's computer and they don't have any editing softeware... I was in the middle of listnening to and cutting clips form May 4, 2012.  In the downtime, I can update you on paranormal events that our family has experienced since the last update from April 20, 2012...

4/20/12
After the EVP session, my daughter and I prepared for our trip to Chicago.  The "boys" were going to be left home alone.  Months ago, my husband NEVER would have stayed home without me, but as I have been saying, we have grown from fear to acceptance.  He still appreciated that I did an extra long EVP session before we left to release their energy in a more positive way; that is, until around 9 pm.  We were all relaxing in the family room, lights off, just cuddling and enjoying some family time before the trip.  All of a sudden, we heard a loud CRASH!  come from the empty kitchen.  One of the mirrors that had been hung up for months, fell and broke all over the floor.  No one had been in the kitchen in over an hour.  Needless to say, my husband was NOT comfortable and accepting of us leaving.  It made for a rocky rest of the night.  I couldn't tell him that after we cleaned up the mirror and sat back on the couch, I saw a black shadow dart across the ceiling and it was way too big to be a bird or a bat.

4/21/12
I called to check on the boys the next night.  My husband said that "they" had been crazy since we had left.  He said that doors were opening all day - different doors - the front door, side door - even the gate which NEVER opens!  He said he thought they were looking for me. He also reported to me that he saw a black shadow dart across the family room ceiling.  I then confessed that I, too, had see it yesterday, in the living room.  He said it wasn't too scary, he just told himself they were just looking for me.  Whatever helps him get through the night, right? 

I can't believe this!  The library said I have used up my half hour already.  I will update you soon!  We are having our computers repaired, so keep checking.  If you haven't been on in a while - scroll down and listen to some of the postings I have made over the past two months.  They will keep you busy in the meantime...

NUMEROUS EVPs BELOW!

This will be the last set of EVPs from April 20, 2012.  We have been still experiencing paranormal events and conducting EVP sessions while we have been working on these clips and will post them in days to come.

As promised, I had my husband listen to and choose from the remaining EVPs to share with you.  He is in management; so of course, he had to develop a rating system.  He would like to refine it and use it on all EVPs in the future.  I didn't have the heart to tell him that there already is an EVP rating system out there and used worldwide, assigning EVPs letter grades.  His rating system used numbers and he wants to only share those EVPs that scored an eight, nine or ten "ghosts."    Again, these are of the remaining EVPs that I have not shared, because our whole family's favorite from the day is "Achoo" - the one of the little girl faking a sneeze...

TEN GHOSTS

In order to score a 10 "Ghosts" on my husband's working scale, the EVP must be clear and unmistakable.  We often debate what is heard - whether is is the words spoken or the voice (my husband tends to hear the lower, more sinister voices, while I pick up on the women and children).  The ones below aren't up for debate with us and are what he considers to be "Clear and Unmistakable"

The top choice from him was this clip.  I am talking to the recorder about what I am doing and there are whispers while I am moving around, but when I pause, the creepy gruff woman that we have captured before usually taking the Lord's name in vain says, "Really Want."  Clear as a bell?  Meaning behind it?  I don't have any idea, we just share what we capture.

I hear A LOT in this clip, but he says the only clear and unmistakable EVP is the calling for our daughter, "Anndi" at :06.  As this is HIS choice today, I will not mention what I hear (but do YOU hear it, too?).

NINE GHOSTS

In order to score a "Nine Ghost" rating, my husband says that it must be clear with just a few letters off from perfectly clear.

In this one there are lots of ghostly whispers and even my muted voice in the background as I listen to past sessions.  But at :09, a man whispers loudly into the recorder what sounds like, "Burn."  Or is it bird? Or Hurt?  Due to the uncertainty, it only earns 9 ghosts.

The next clip contains two different voices calling for me, "April."  At :06, there is a metallic voice calls, "April" and at :12 a man whispers it.  Due to it not being loud and clear, he gave it 9 ghosts.

In this clip, he hears, "Look at her" at :06.  Then I say, "I'm back" and he hears one of them copy me with an, "I'm back" all at :09.  I actually don't hear that - but he hears it plain as day!  How about you?

EIGHT GHOSTS
To earn eight ghosts on my husband's working scale, the EVP must be clear, but a few words are "off" or uncertain.

In this clip, I hear what he hears and more, but again, I will focus on his findings only (but listen hard for more!!).  At :06, he hears a whisper, "I guess you could" followed by a muffled ME talking as I listen to EVP sessions.  At :09, a man whispers, "I love you."

The next clip again has my voice as I am listening to previous sessions.  A man whispers, "April saw us" at :02.  An aggressive, louder man then whispers, "No, she didn't see me" at :07.

The next clip has a man whispers, "She picked you" at :03.  After that, there is a muffled woman talking that is NOT me.  My phone receives a text (R2D2), stirring up whispers that we can't decipher.  Then, a strange thing happens...You hear the clang/jingle of our bathroom door closing - but you can hear me clicking on the computer before and AFTER!  Who did that??????? My husband heard it and thought someone else was home - BUT I WAS HOME ALONE!  And I am sure you realize by now that this is an old house with creaky wood floors.  You would have heard me run to the bathroom and back (which of course I didn't and physically couldn't!).  Also, the heater is on (clearly heard in the recording) so NO doors or windows were open.  I didn't mention that I heard it in the recording because I had my headphones on! I have listened to the recording and no one was in the bathroom.

This EVP is clear and unmistakable, but he gave it 8 ghosts because it is with the squeak of the board.  A man says, "I heard that" at :05.

This next one features the creepy man.  It is louder than usual, but is with typing, which knocked this EVP down to an 8 ghost rating.  At :03, he says, "Come over here."  At :06, someone replies with, "Get the fuck out."  See?  Not all EVPs are directed at us....

Phew!  I can FINALLY move past 4/20/12.  I have already begun listening to a session from May 4, 2012; however, right now I need to send the kids outside so I can do another EVP session as we have been seeing apparitions daily so I KNOW they want to be acknowledged and I want them to expend their energy more constructively!!

April 20, 2012 Part 3

NUMEROUS EVPs BELOW!!!

I have more EVPs to share with you from the recording made on April 20, 2012.  In a nutshell, I am home alone working on the computer (for the most part) and it is the middle of the day.  This picture was taken during the session - the recorder is on the green table (next to the Legos) and I am working from the chair in the lower right hand corner of the picture.  If you would like more background, scroll down to April 20, 2012 Part 1.  I have FINALLY finished listening to and cutting the 45 minute recording and have over 145 clips that contain words, phrases and even conversations between the spirits visiting our home.  I chose the best and clearest and will share some more with you below...

This one is quiet, but the children always tug at my heart and I hear them clearly.  At :07 a child asks, "Can you help me?" then at :10 "Mommy."

This next one has a child asking for mommy at :05 then a woman replies in a clear voice at :12. "Wait a second."

This one is quieter than the ones above, but you can still hear the child calling for mommy three times - beginning right away.  A man then whispers, "You guys like that...why is that?"  Is he talking to us?  Of course my ears and heart go to the child...

This clip entertains the phenomenon of words with movement.  It is relatively quiet, but when I expend energy typing, they talk - and louder than the usual whispers.  Some may say that we are hearing words in the sound - our brains are piecing together sounds and making them into familiar words, but I have listened to HOURS of myself typing, and it doesn't happen all the time.  Also, you can hear the breath expended into the recorder.  At :12, a girl asks, "Are you leaving?"  then there is a reply to which she pleads at :15, "Don't leave me."

The next clip is short and to the point and really needs no explanation.
April, Can You Hear Me?

The following clips have layers.  You can hear my voice through my headset in the background as I listen to past recordings.  Because of this, most of the EVPs I caught with my voice in the background I just filled away, without sharing.  These clips, though, are VERY obvious.

At :08, a man forcefully whispers, "It's a bird" followed by a smaller voice whispering, "I can't hear it." The second voice also has that metallic sound that frequents our EVPs.  Then, he/she comments more about it, but it is not clear to me what is said.  Can you make it out?

Same issue...My voice is in the background as I listen to older recordings.  IN the foreground you will hear a female ask, "will you HELP ME?" at :03.

AGAIN, me in the background in the beginning.  These are so obvious, I don't even have to put times.  Listen for at least three male voices calling my name, "April."

A woman clearly whispers, "Do you need help?" at :03 followed by another voice whispering, "She can hear me" at :09.

The next clip contains whispers in the beginning and me on the recording occasionally.  The CLEAREST part is of the man whispering loudly, "She's a big baby" at :17.
