EVP'S BELOW!!!!
The month began quiet enough. So quiet that when I told my dad about the priest coming in to do a house blessing, he had me question it. Not because I wanted these souls to remain here, but because he felt that I had to share all of our evidence with him. Our priest is wonderful - but fresh out of seminary school and I don't think he would take too kindly to talk of ghosts. My faith recognizes the paranormal - in fact, they are the ones EVERYONE calls when they have demons. It is not something, that they openly discuss or publicly accept. So I began to wonder if lying by omisission was just the as lying. I was NOT about to tell Father about the activity and have the church pray for my mental health. Yes, we have voices on tape, but what if he refused to listen? I postponed the blessing until I could figure out what I could do. All was quiet for a while. I actually wondered if maybe we had imagined it. That is, until September 11.
9/11/11 Maybe the general mourning felt by the entire country 10 years to the day stirred up the activity again. At 3:55 pm, Prancer (our dog) and I were in the family room. He stood up facing the laundry room, barking uncontrollably. I looked over and saw a shadow cross through the laundry room. Jon investigated - no one was there. Prancer would not cross the threshold into the laundry room, much less the kitchen. In the early evening, I was in the pantry and I could her voices whispering, but I could not make them out.
9/12/11 I woke up at 2:45 am for work and went downstairs to find every light. I mean EVERY light. When I got home from work, the receiver to the kitchen TV was flipped around. My husband and each child denied doing any of these. When I was making dinner, I went to the pantry and again, I could hear whispers.
9/13/11 While on the computer in the living room, I heard a thud above me. I thought it was a fan falling over. I went up to investigate, but I couldn't find anything knocked over (becoming the norm). While I was napping in the early afternoon, the front (side) door flew open so hard it bounced of the wall and sent poor Prancer off the deep end. It wasn't even windy that day. At 2:30 pm I heard what sounded like a a chair being dragged across the upstairs floor.
9/14/11 While I was napping (I get up EARLY) I was awakened to a door slamming open. This time there was no open door, and as usual, no one was there so I closed it tight. Later that day I was watching
Ghost Adventures (I find it humorous), when they said, "Let's open the doors to the other side" immediately the kitchen door blew open. It was breezy, but the timing made it questionable. Before everyone arrived home, I heard footsteps upstairs, but I didn't bother to check this time - Prancer was glued to my legs and let's face it, no one will be there. Acceptance has set in.
9/15/11 Jon came home to an empty house around eleven for a quick lunch. He called me immediately when he, too, heard the door slam that I always do. When I got home that afternoon around 3 pm, Prancer who normally runs up to greet me jumping like a crazy dog, stood at the threshold to the kitchen, shaking.
9/16/11 At about 2 pm, I was upstairs painting when I heard a huge BANG and a creaky door open downstairs. I went down to explore and found nothing, so I sat on the couch for a rest. At about 2:35 I heard the ZIPPER sound from back in June. Then I remembered, the door opening and the zipper sound happened close together on my sister's recording. Wouldn't that make these sounds residual? And what made that sound "back in the day" if it was residual?
9/19/11 The night before, my daughter was the last one to bed. She turned off all the lights and closed the door to her room. My husband got up at 12:30 am to use the bathroom and when he got downstairs, ALL OF THE LIGHTS WERE ON. He dug deep and turned every single light off. When I woke up at 2:55 am for work, ALL THE LIGHTS WERE ON DOWNSTAIRS. EVERY TV TOO!! I turned them off and hurried off to work. Later that day, as I was relaxing on the couch I again heard a door kicked in and someone walk across the kitchen floor. No one was there.
9/20/11 My husband and I were discussing the events in our house, when he began the sentence, "When you get out of the shower, do you..." I finished, "see letters on the mirror? Every time." He does, too. We never noticed specific words, but he swore this morning he could make out the word MARY (or something ending in Y, with an M or V before it). This phenomenon happens after every shower. I have scrubbed it, cleaned it with Windex, vinegar, a scouring pad - they still appear.
9/22/11 While doing dishes in the kitchen, I was deep in thought and without any music or TV on. All of a sudden a man loudly whispered, "DAMMIT" in my right ear. A chill shuddered through me and then was gone. It wasn't scary - but I did make a point of telling the man that I don't appreciate swearing. After talking with my husband and sister, we wondered if the frustration that he seemed to exhibit is because we weren't listening or noticing. We decide to purchase our own digital voice recorder to see if this would calm the activity and frustration. He headed back into work for a late meeting. When he returned home at 11:30 pm, he was in the kitchen and saw movement in the laundry so he went straight to bed.
9/23/11 I got up at 2:45 am and the headed into the bathroom to get ready. Prancer came along. I heard "Jon" come down the stairs and when he reached the bottom I called out, "I'm in here" so not to scare him. I waited. Waited. Then looked - no one was there and there were no footsteps that walked away. After work that morning, I purchased the DVR. We sent the kids to friends and did did 3 seperate EVP sessions - basically asking a few questions and taping responses. The very first one we did in our daughter's room wasn't very long and 27 seconds into it, we caught our first EVP. I was talking about not appreciating the swearing and I say, "I'm afraid it's my house." Following that, the man whispers and then says our daughter's name (who's room we were in). I did amplify his voice but I did NOT alter it in any way...
Mackenzie
The next one, it sounds like he is saying, "The Basement." We weren't in the basement, nor did we have plans to go there - did he want us to go?
The Basement
IN this one you can hear my husband say,"This is...your time I guess." In his pause the man whispers or breathes, then IMMEDIATELY responds to my husband with, "Oh, is it?" Anyone who follows paranormal investigations knows this is RARE because voices typically do not respond directly to questions, and certainly not this fast.
Oh is it?
My husband says, "You asked for help. What kind of help do you want?" While he is talking you hear the man whispering and breathing heavily. What do you think it says?
You asked for help...
The next EVP session took place in our family room. It was about 9 pm, and the first half is just my husband and I. About 45 seconds into the recording, I say something like, "Talk near the orange light, we can hear you then." After about 2 seconds, the man whispers MY name for the first time.
April
He also says my daughter's name. You won't have to listen hard to hear him say, "Anndi."
Anndi
Okay...then my husband and I leave the room. There is about 10 minutes of questionable EVP's, then THE BEST EVER. We are in the other room so I had to amplify the sound a lot so that you can hear our conversation, as it is directly relevant. I talk about how I love the house and so does my husband. There is a pause where you can hear two of them (not us) whispering. Planning? See if you can figure it out. Then, he talks about the bones of the house and I say "We WILL bring a priest in" and a woman NOT ME says, "J.C. there it is" and the man whispers "Sensitive." Then I continue with my thought while they seem to whisper. I have NEVER taken the Lord's name in vain. She sounds similar to me, but it is NOT. And they are in the MIDDLE of our conversation. And why is she so upset about a priest?
Our love of the house...
Listen again. SERIOUSLY the BEST EVP EVER caught.
JC there it is...
A few minutes later, my husband and I are talking and in the background you can hear someone struggling to breathe. AGAIN, we are the only two people in the house and you can hear us - the choking is THEM. This is the third or fourth EVP we have captured with choking. When we moved in there were "oxygen in use" signs all over. Is this choking, struggling person the previous owner who had oxygen or does it go further back to a possible fire in the house history? Okay, I'll let you hear it.
Gasping or choking
The last one is right before the children return home. There is a ch sound followed by a "Kay" ?
