EVPs BELOW!!!

Welcome back!  The last update I gave you was from March 31, 2012.  Activity did not diminish after the last recording.  Well, it did for one day.  On Monday, April 2, 2012, it started right back up.  Our "guests" began focusing on my teenage daughter.  She typically ignores them and does NOT like to talk about them or help with our prayers for them.  She refuses to use the holy water from the priest and scoffs at our attempts to make contact and help them.  They have been forcing her to take notice, though.  4/2/12 they would NOT let her sleep.  She heard footsteps in the hall outside of our rooms and heard footsteps going up and down the stairs.  At 10:47 pm, she sent me a text for help as she was too afraid to leave her room to come get me.  The next night, when I got up at 2:45 am for work and stumbled into the kitchen, a lightweight pan flew at my feet.  It didn't cause any harm - just made a loud noise.  It couldn't have fallen from anywhere, as it is stored low on an open shelf in the kitchen.  I simply acknowledged them and continued about my business.  I did decide to do an EVP session when I got home that day to let them get their message out in a more productive way.  I arrived home at about 1:30 in the afternoon. I was alone in the house (except for my dog) and I set up the recorder in the living room (pictured above).  There were NO TVs or radios on, and I didn't use the phone.  I recorded for about a half hour while I worked on the computer.  This is not my favorite thing to do, because when I do this, I can always feel them behind me and I see numerous shadows while working.  I prefer to face them, but sometimes it isn't always feasible to sit and stare at them for a half hour, sometimes, I have other things to do, like this day when I had computer work.

I am still doing the introduction, actually addressing our "guests."  I say ,"right here, next to everybody."  A man addresses ME during this - at :03 "April" and at :04 "Help me."

I am sitting down to the computer and turning my phone down, making note of all that I do so that I don't blame paranormal.  At :05, a man whispers, "April" and at :07 he clearly says, "Help us" or come help us."

I have FINALLY stopped talking and am working at the computer.  You can hear me clicking the mouse.  A woman begins talking in this clip.  At :07, she whispers "April" followed by "Come on" at :09.  At :11 she calls for "Jeremy."  We don't know of a Jeremy here...At :16 she calls for him again, "Jeremy."  There is other whispers in this clip, and she speaks again at the end, but the clearest are mentioned above.

The next clip has a whisper, so make sure that you are using your ear phones.  At :01, you will hear a quick, "Where is he?"

Lately, we have been capturing numerous voices that sound metallic.  At first, we thought they were mechanical, from an appliance or computer or TV, but we capture them in EVERY room and they often are preceded or end with a voice.  We have a few theories on this odd phenomenon....At first, we thought that maybe these spirits are in-between dimensions due to our prayers.  Recently, I have begun to wonder if they aren't taking my instructions to speak directly into the recorder literally and getting feedback that way.  Whatever the reason, we are CERTAIN these are also voices and messages.  In fact, I have a few to share with you captured during this session.  Listen for the voice at the beginning or the end of each - proving it is more than a mechanical error.

This last one has both types of EVPs in it....right at the beginning, a man whispers, "April, I found you."  This is followed by a female whispering, "April."  About halfway through, you can then hear a mix of the metallic voice and a human voice saying my least favorite phrase, "Right behind you."

All in all, I captured over 40 EVPs that day.  I have a lot of metallic sentences and other messages besides my name, but I chose the ones that were easiest for you to hear and understand.  Check back as I am currently reviewing our next EVP session captured on Good Friday....

EVPs BELOW!!!

After the last recording, activity settled down for a few days.  On Monday, March 26, I was trying to nap in the family room but I kept hearing a man talking.  I was the only one home and I checked outside, but there was no one in the vicinity.  That night my husband had problems sleeping, because he kept hearing people talking.  The next day, my daughter and I were in the garage when tools and cans tumbled off my husband's workbench - a bench we were no where near.  On Wednesday, my husband came downstairs from our bedroom and yelled, "What?"  I looked at him quizzically and he said that he had just heard me calling for him, but I wasn't...  Thursday, while I was home alone, I heard a man call my name throughout the empty house.  Friday, I noticed the recliner in the living room was moved about three feet out of position.  I checked with everyone - even my daughter's boyfriend, only no one had moved it.  Saturday, my husband was cleaning in the living room when he saw a  kleenex box fall from a  foot above the chair.  He searched for where it could have fallen from, but could not find anywhere.  Later, my stepdaughter came over after she had learned of her grandfather's passing. As I was hugging her, all three of us (my husband included) heard a plate behind us bang against the wall where it hung, then move back and forth.  She was disturbed by it and upset by the news, so she left.  After she left, my husband and I immediately brought out the recorder to try to catch the spirit that had moved the plate.  We recorded in an empty house, without TV or radio on.  We recorded only briefly - and were active with questions.  We began recording at 5:37 pm in the kitchen, then moved to the living room and finally ended in our bedroom.  We only recorded for about 10 minutes, but we captured about 20 EVPs.  Most were rather quiet, but we will share some of them with you below...

This one was captured at the beginning of the recording.  My husband is talking throughout and investigating the moving plate.  This is a longer slip, so it may take a little bit to load.  At :06, it sounds like a tin-ney sounding man says, "Go warn us."  Then there is just my husband talking and moving the plate for about 20 seconds.  My husband hears a deeper, creepy voice in there, but I can't.  This empty space is good for you to hear - that we don't hear voices ALL the time, but when we do, they are definitely different from normal sounds.  At :31, one of them confesses WHO moved the plate!  "Hec did that" is stated followed by a plea, "Help Me" at :33 and another "Help Him" at :38.

This next one contains the thing that I HATE HEARING.  I don't mind most things, heck, I even had a death threat.  But they say this one once in a while and it is creepy.  You should be able to hear this with headphones - right away at the start, a man whispers, "April, turn around."  Ughh...I hate that because I always wonder what if I actually heard that at the time?  What would I have seen?  Anyway, quickly following that at :03 is a whisper, "Bless you."  Then, I pour some tea and a man whispers at :06, "I want some water."  At :14, a quiet plea for help...At :22, a voice interrupts our conversation with, "Just like that."

This next clip is a little quieter, but I feel I should include it as it contains proof of the intelligent haunting that is taking place.  My husband is going over paranormal events from the past week, and he says, "And I swear I could hear him talking upstairs," and a man in a hushed whisper says, "Yes..." at :05, and then at :08 finishes with, "Roger did that."

This one again, is not as loud as others, but hilarious.  Even my husband found it quite funny (and a little true?)  My husband is still talking about events, and he says, "I just got done cleaning, and I was..." and a man butts in and calls him on it, "Bullshit" at :14.  Hee-hee.  No lying in this house!!

We moved into the living room and we caught a few in here.  Some were louder than others.  The one I chose to share with you is not a grade A EVP, but it's not whispers either (although ear phones are always a good idea).  I  ask, "Did you move the recliner?" and a child immediately says, "I did it" followed by a woman's muffled voice that says, "It  was Chris."

This first one I thought for sure was a TV.  But I reviewed the tape before and after this clip and there was NO TVs on, nor any radios or phones.  A man clearly says, "Is this all we got here?" at :03 followed by "Go away."  At :06, he repeats his command, "Go away."  I begin talking at the very end...

In this next clip, my husband is commenting on my hair color.  At :03 he laughs and then says, "It's really black."    At :10, one of them comments quietly, "It IS black."  I say something at :12 and then one of them whispers, "You're not going to solve it" at :22.  Clearly and loudly, one of them responds with, "Hickock can solve it" at :27.

This next one is short and sweet.  Three seconds in, a man whispers, "April.." and continues at :06 with "Now you can hear me."  My husband starts talking at :11 about running.  You can tell from the distance that we are outside at the time.

NUMEROUS EVPs BELOW!!!

Hello!  I am sorry for the delay in posting more EVPs from the evening of March 24; truthfully I am so frustrated with which ones to post.  I have 47 more EVPs from that night.  If you are not familiar with that evening, scroll down and feel free to catch up on all of March happenings and more details about that session.  In a nutshell, my husband and I were home alone on a Saturday night.  I had to get up early for work the next day, so he was coloring my hair around 7 pm and then I was heading to bed.  Activity in our house had been escalating, so we decided to run the recorder during this time to allow spirits to expend their in a constructive way and to communicate any messages that they needed to get across.  We NEVER take direction from them, but we do listen and it does seem to help deescalate activity.  No TVs or radios were on.  Doors and windows were shut.  We were quiet for the most part, and when we did talk we were sure to speak loudly so that we are able to tell it is us.  The EVPs we caught that night were incredible.  A new, tin-ney voice made a starring appearance, and numerous old favorites spoke up. I posted some of the best from the first part of the recording earlier, now I will post some others.  My dilemma is this...my sister and mother say I should just post the very best and clearest - and keep it to five or less.  The others I file away.  HUNDREDS are filed away and not posted.  But there are so many from this night that I do not want to file away.  I have made an executive decision as writer of this blog to post these a little differently.  I will break them into two categories tonight: the first will be LOUD and CLEAR and the second will be REALLY COOL (but maybe a little more difficult to hear).  If this is your first time to the site, or you are new at listening to EVPs, you may only want to listen to the first group.  If your are a "seasoned professional" or don't mind re-playing cuts a few times to catch the message, then take a listen to really cool.  Okay?  Okay.  I can move past my stumbling block and post a CRAP LOAD of EVPs for your listening pleasure...

The first one is easy to hear - a man clearly insists, "HELP ME" at :05.

This next one is WILD!  My husband and I have stepped onto the porch and have closed the door.  NO ONE is in the house.  NO ONE.  Right away in the clip, a man whispers, "I feel bad..." and then at :03 he orders loudly, "COME ON!" and exhales.  About seven seconds later, one says something like, "it's slow coming in here" and then NUMEROUS voices start talking.  There are many things said - but they overlap one another.  My husband believes the one is letting many spirits in and swears he can hear about eight different voices come in or "through."  Even my mother who has trouble hearing EVPs commented on ALL of the different voices.  Crazy.  Is that why he feels "bad" because he let so many through?

This one contain one voice throughout...that tin sounding one.  He talks while my husband colors my hair, and the words not not easy to decipher EXCEPT for the the "marK" at :03 and the "Gotcha" at :16.

REALLY COOL (but not EASY to hear)

This one is short and contains TWO very different voices.  At :03, the tin-ney sounding voice says something that I am not clear on.  At :10, a man speaks, not whispers, quietly and says, "Did your God send me (here)?"  Frankly, I think if he feels God is "my" God, then he WAS probably sent to purgatory until he has accepted Jesus as our Savior.

Okay, a little less serious.  These next two are funny!  They are poking fun at my husband.  I love when they have fun with us like this...Let me break down this clip, as you will probably need to listen to it a few times, but it is SO worth it! There is a swear-word, I apologize, but I didn't say it, I am just reporting to you what they said.  This clip also features my husband talking, so I will clarify EVERYTHING for you...

My husband sniffs at the beginning and a tin-ney woman says at :02, "Take a pill for it." My husband then says, "Allergies..."  A different woman says, "We're fucked" at :05 as the tin-ney woman is repeating, "Take a pill for it."  At :08, there is a plea of  "Help me" and my husband continues talking, "Making it real entertaining for me this year."  I find it hilarious that they are brushing off my husband's complaints and stating that THEY are the ones with real problems.

This next one is for the pros...I have to hold my headphones close to my head to hear - but it is SO funny!  This is cut right after the previous one, and they are STILL talking about my husband's sniffling...

At :01, my husband sniffs.  At :02, VERY quiet, they whisper, "Why doesn't he blow it?"  At :06, again they whisper a little louder, "Doesn't he blow his nose?"  At :08, one responds quietly, "I don't know..." and at :10 another responds, "I wonder..."  Just as the tin-man starts to comment, my husband exhales, so I can't hear him very well.  Then, one says, "Come on..." at :14.  And, no.  He rarely blows his nose - just sniffs and sniffs....HILARIOUS!

This next one is pretty awesome because of a few reasons.  First, we had just stepped onto the porch and forgot to close the door right away, so you can hear us talking (muffled) in the background.  The spirits now become the foreground.  At :01, one of them says, "It's her" followed by a tap ON THE MICROPHONE at :04.  NO ONE IS IN THE HOUSE.  This is not just an EVP but them manipulating an object!  At :05, they continue, "It's Kit."

EVPs BELOW!!!

So, the month of March has been absolutely insane!  The activity has been so intense that it has been causing my three members of my family to lose sleep almost every night.  So incredible, my sister is proposing a road trip from Montana with her fellow ghost hunters.  What has been happening?  Well, let me catch up up from February 27 - March 24 (the date of the recording from which I will post EVPs).

2/29/12    2:50 am I clearly heard a child call out for Mom and I replied back - only to get no answer.  I checked on both of my children who were sleeping soundly in their beds on the second floor.

3/3/12     Around 10 pm, I heard a man call my name

3/5/12     Around 11 am, I heard a man call my name in an empty house.  Later, I also had a child call my name.  Around 2 pm, I was looking into my daughter's bedroom through windows and saw a blonde, twenty-ish man walk behind me in the kitchen reflection.  No one was in the house or outside (I checked).

I was ill after the 5th.  Activity settled down, as it typically does when one of us is sick.  Two days after I was better, the activity resumed...

3/14/12     Craziest night EVER.  I went to bed alone around 7:30 pm (pictured above).  As I was laying there, I heard a man suddenly call my name about twenty times from all around my bed.  I wasn't afraid - just annoyed.  I told him we were protected by Christ and used the holy water to bless myself.  I felt the dog laying by my feet, so I figured if he wasn't concerned, I shouldn't be either.  A few minutes later, the dog walked into my room - it wasn't him laying by my feet!  I sat up and looked, but there was nothing on the bed.  Every time I would begin to nod off, I was awakened to footsteps in my empty room, a loud bang on my wall or headboard or footsteps coming up the stairs (without a person appearing). My dog, who normally sleeps by my feet the second I go to bed, roamed the perimeter of my bed, but refused to jump up.  After and hour and a half of this MADNESS, I went to ask my husband to come up to bed.  Not because I was scared, but I thought that maybe they would share the torment between us both - allowing me a few hours of rest.  He came up and we we laid there in silence, listening.  About 9:30, we heard a loud bang in my empty son's room (the children were sleeping downstairs that night) followed by creaking and footsteps going down the stairs.  Nothing else happened, and we were able to get some sleep.  When I got up that night at 2:30 am to get ready for work, I swore I saw a face in the room where the children were sleeping. I rushed in , only to find them sleeping soundly and no one else.  I went to work as usual.  That day when my daughter came home from school, BEFORE I even told her about my night, she announced, "The ghosts are back and kept me up all night!"  I said, "Me too" and then asked what happened to her.  She said that around 10 pm the night before, she heard them calling her name - so she put her ear buds in, but they didn't help.  She said she heard heavy bootsteps in the room and banging on the headboard.  She also said that she grabbed for the dog who she felt sleeping next to her - only to find he was not there!  I had already written down my experiences and was able to show her after she told me her story.  So the spirit that was tormenting me must have went downstairs and tormented her in the same way.  She also experienced the sound of the door opening (which I did not), but refused to go check to see if it was open or if anyone was there).

3/15/12     My husband heard the name, "Sarah" spoken clearly in the kitchen.

3/16/12    We had a guest stay overnight and he asked us the next morning if we had a bell anywhere.  We responded no and he said he was awakened numerous times to the sound of a ringing bell.

3/17/12     My daughter's boyfriend and I were in the kitchen in the afternoon when we BOTH heard a woman call his name.  We searched the house and outside for the woman - but found no one.  He stayed over that night in the guest room and was awakened to the sound of a ringing bell through out the night.

3/19/12     My daughter said that numerous times during the night, she, too, heard a bell ringing.

3/21/12     My husband had his ear touched while he was in an empty kitchen.  He said it was without a doubt a human hand that touched him.  Later that night, I tried to go to bed around seven, but didn't fall asleep until after 10 pm due to the sound of someone walking around my room, coming up the stairs and an overwhelming feeling that someone was watching me.

3/22/12     My husband heard playful rattling coming from my son's room.  This night, the children were sleeping downstairs.  He was kept awake by their "playing."

3/23/12     My husband heard a voice call out for "Karen" in the kitchen.

 Also throughout the month I heard my name called so often, that I stopped recording it in the journal.  Sometimes I would respond with acknowledgment that I heard them, other times, I just ignored it.
As a family, we decided that an EVP session was LONG overdue.  It was obvious that they had energy to expend and wanted to be noticed.  On the 24th, my husband and I were home alone.  He offered to color my hair for me while we taped an EVP session.  We didn't have any TVs or radios on (at least until the last two minutes).  We rarely spoke, and when we did, we spoke clearly so that our voices would not be confused for EVPs.  We left the recorder going a few feet from us in the kitchen (seemingly the most active spot all month) and were SHOCKED at the number of EVPs we captured.  We recorded for 28 minutes and caught over 50 EVPs.  Some were minute-long conversations.  Others were comments on our discussion.  Most were pleas for help.   I will share the best with you below...

In this first clip, you will here my husband exhale at :02, and cupboard doors closing.  I can't say for sure that is not him doing that, but out "friends" often leave the doors open, but when in doubt - throw it out.  The   EVP that I am 100% certain is NOT us is found at :10 and is a man (not my husband's voice) saying, "Shush, Baby."

This one is pretty AMAZING!  My hubby clears his throat at :05, then a man (NOT my hubby) whispers, "It is good" at :07.  He continues at :14, "In His voice, it is good."

The next clip is also pretty awesome.  It features voices discussing my sister, Heather, and I.  What I originally heard was pleasant enough... :07 "Heather" :09 "April"  :11 "Heather"  :12 "April's second sister" and :23 "Hello, April...Glad we met."  When my husband listened, he heard a sinister message in between the greetings.  At :20, he heard, "I want you to kill them."  Upon listening again, I heard it to.  Does it scare me?  Nope.  They often say things to shock us - our priest thinks it is because they want the house back for themselves.

The next clip is a little quieter, but just as cool!  The entire clip is them talking.  Actually, one is ordering another (younger?) one.  My husband and I are in the room, he is quietly coloring my hair.  We are IT in the house.  Make sure your volume is up and headphones are on...

My husband and I start off the next clip talking about the hair color.  At :18 you will here a voice that is CLEARLY not ours say, "Come here..." followed by "April" at :20.  There is whispers later that say, "Sparta" :28 and "Spartan" :30.  These could mean any number of things - my other sister lives in Sparta - are they telling me to go there (as if I would listen!) and my high school mascot was the Spartan.  Or do they  mean something totally different?  Either way, the first part is SUPER clear...

This one is my FAVORITE in a long time.  It may not be super clear to you all on the first listen as its a relatively new voice - a tin-ney, other worldly sounding voice.  Get used to it, though, as it shows up for most of the recording.  The sound of the voice is not what I love, it is the concern and understanding that they are showing.  Above I mentioned that I was sick for about five days.  And, boy, was I!  In this clip, they are talking about it.  At :01, "April's back."  :04, "What did she have?"  :06, "She had the stomach flu."  :11, "Stomach flu."  :13, "She had."  Then my husband exhales and says, "Okay."
