NUMEROUS EVPs BELOW!!!

After the spirit box session, everything felt a little quieter.  Well, either that or life was so busy we didn't notice!  When we don't notice, the activity picks up and increases until we HAVE to take notice.  I am aware that many people say - just leave them alone!  Quit bothering them; however, that is NOT the case.  We did NOT go looking for them - THEY found us.  When we didn't pay attention to them, they continued to do more things to get our attention - things including breaking items.  We try to NOT let them get to this point anymore.  I only run the recorder when activity dictates that I need to do so.  So, after the spirit box session, it was quiet for a few days.  A short few - take a look at my Twitter postings from the 17th of November...

Hubby just texted that some followed him hunting. Says he heard voices throughout the day.

After that wild day, we decided that we NEEDED to do n EVP session because they obviously have something to say AND they obviously have WAY too much energy that needs to be used more constructively.  I came up with the BRILLIANT (why, yes, that IS sarcasm!) idea to leave the recorder running while we went to an early Thanksgiving dinner with my in-laws.  On some points, it was a great idea!  Leaving the recorder running with no one home makes it much easier to listen to because you can eliminate human contamination.  BAD idea because Thanksgiving was over THREE HOURS!  I have spent over 16 hours reviewing, cutting, posting and filing the EVPs this weekend.  Ughhhh... I ended up with 151 GOOD clips - each one containing up to ten EVPs!  I heard new voices and familiar ones.  Got some new names and some returning names.  I also really feel for our poor dog; they really get him frazzled!  I also heard numerous bangs, knocks and footsteps that were not ordinary house sounds, but since I was not there I don't feel comfortable counting them as evidence of the paranormal.  The other thing that stinks about these clips is the stupid furnace!  The recorder was just a few feet from it and you will hear its hum throughout.  I COULD edit these out using  Wave Pad, my editing software of choice since I began listening to EVPs.  I do NOT want to do that, though, because I don't want to alter the clips in any way other than cutting them from the large original.  So, you will have to get used to the hum.  I also have such a soft spot for children, so most of the children's voices that I caught, I posted here for you.   Okay, back to the recording...I left the recorder going in our kitchen (pictured above with recorder on the table).  NO ONE was home except for our poor Papillion.  NO TVs, radios, computers, phones...ANYTHING noise making were left on.  All the doors and windows were shut.  So, here are the best captures from the day, only a few are considered to be a Class A EVP, but all are at least a B or higher.  What does that mean for you?  Pop some ear buds in, turn up your volume and enjoy the craziness that is our life :)

This next one has my dog jump from the bed upstairs, making a thud noise.  Then a metallic voice says (around :15), "It's not what I think."  The dog then begins running and a voice says, "I'd move!"  Then, at the end you can hear my voice as I open the door (I forgot something).

Here I am talking to my son as we gather the forgotten items and then I walk away.  A voice comes after that - a voice that is neither my son nor I...

This one has multiple voices, camouflaged by the furnace. At :01, a louder whisper asks, "Are you Chris?" followed by more whispers and a knock.  Right after the knock, at about 25 seconds in, "April's coming a home." What?  I don't know, I just share the information.  This woman is then followed by a soft whisper of something like, "Think what you know he bad."

This next one is a good one...At the beginning there is a muffled girl.  At :08, my name is said loudly  followed by my sister's name, "April, Tigger."  At :14, a voice says, "She's nervous." At :19, a clear woman states, "I think we found Eric."

This next one again features the muffled voices.  A muffled woman asks at :02, "Who does Scott go with?" and at about 14 seconds in a young girl responds with what sounds like, "He goes with me, I think..."

Here the ladies speak again. At :02, there is the beginning of a question, "Why you.." and another woman responds, "I love him."  There is a squeaky, "Tell him," a little later, but not as loud and clear.

In this one a woman clearly says, "Fuck it!" A man then responds with something like, "What do you mean, fuck it?" Oh, and the vulgarity is THEIR words, not mine...

Right away a voice whispers, "Can you hear us?" and a creepy male voice replies, "Don't think she can."  There are more whispers and talking after this, but these are the best in this clip.

This next clip still has the creepy voice talking.  He talks in the beginning and there are other voices as well.  Then he seems to get frustrated and loudly (still creepily) says, "Don't you want it?" and there is then an immediate crash! that even scares our dog (whom you can hear jump).  He says something about me at the end, but I can't make it out.

This next one starts with a knock - a knock that sounds as if it is right next to the recorder.  A child and the creepy voice can then be heard talking, although it is muffled.  I could edit the clip and remove the hum from the furnace, but I feel as though it would make the clip less credible, so you have to just accept the furnace.  Then, around 22 seconds in, the child says, "I miss you," and then the creepy voice responds.

In this clip, a CLEAR voice stats it out with, "Help me."  My dog then reacts to this with a whine.  There are then some whispers and at :14, a clear whisper asks, "Can you hear me??  And an even louder whisper then says, "Please do."

It then goes quiet for about 8 minutes.

In this next one, of course there are numerous whispers, bu then a nasal-sounding woman says, "Found her," at 10 seconds in.  There is then a thus - which is just my dog jumping from the bed (did he hear her, too?) followed by a breathy, "Is slow..." at :14.  There is then a breathy statement but I just can't figure it out - you got the book?

In this next clip, another new voice, a man begins whispering at about 8 seconds in, with the clearest thing he says being, "Michael" around 18 seconds.  Michael is a name we hear often and they all seem to rally around him.

This one is pretty quiet, except for a girl who whispers throughout.  she says something around 11 seconds, looking at you or ah-chew?  But then at 15 she clearly states, "What do you want to do?" She whispers it, so headphones are needed making this a Class B EVP, even though it had potential of being an A.

This clip has a matronly woman speaking at the beginning.  I can't for the life of me make it out, though  so I was going to skip this one until I heard the child say, "Mommy," at :09.

This next one has a nice, crisp, EVP.  Right away, a woman states, "It's not in my character..."  A little while later, around 15 seconds in , a little voice says, "help..."

Not a nice one at all, but right away a young, voice clearly states, "I want to rape you."  The creepy sounding voice then remarks something, I actually think he cautions him against this.  Can't judge a book (voice?) by its cover.

About five minutes later, I return home with my daughter and her boyfriend.  There are three people home now, but there are FOUR voices in this clip.  About 8 seconds in, a voice whispers something about a bedroom, then about 6 seconds later the voice butts in again talking of soccer.

I am looking through cookbooks with my daughter and about halfway through the clip, I say I just want to make sure beer cheese soup isn't there, and a voice CLEARLY not mine nor my daughter's pipes in, "Perfect."

We left after that.  Again, the house was completely empty; however, I started getting this muffled girl talking.  And talking and talking.  I originally cut this clip because she was so vocal, but I can't make out exactly what she says BUT the man at 29 seconds is clear as day, "He proud of her."

This next one has the same, loud, hushed whisper but this time it says, "April, pick up."  A dig at my housekeeping? Oh well...

In the next clip, the creepy voice says something like, "I have a lot to look for, I guess..." but that is not the best one.  After that, a clear, but fast voice asks, "Did you get it reduced?"

This is a short one.  At the beginning a voice asks, "What's her name?" The creepy voice responds, "Pick up," but a girl's voice come in loud and clear as she almost sings, 'Gita..."

This next one begins with a child speaking right away, so be prepared.  He/she quickly asks, "Can you help me?"  The rest of the clip has noises and whispers but nothing as clear as the child.

Wow.  This one is FULL of different voices.  The raspy, whispering man begins the clip with vulgarity, "I fucked 10 of you." Then it sounds like, "10 women?" More voices and whispers until he again speaks, "He gonna move her."  Then at 23 seconds, a girl speaks clearly, "I'm late for the tower."

This next one has a LOT of whispers and I would have filed it away with the other hundred I chose not to share; however, the woman who speaks with a radio-like voice at :09 changed my mind.

Another new voice.  I have NEVER heard the woman above or this person who speaks at the beginning, "Where should I put the..." Then the whisperer replies.

This next one again had numerous whispers and I was just about to move it into permanent storage when the clear voice at the end stopped me cold - not out of fear, but shock at how clear this voice is.

Same story...I REALLY don't like to share too many - I wouldn't want to overwhelm you BUT I keep getting pretty cool ones, so nestle in and I will keep them coming!  This one has the whispers and then a man clearly says, SIT.

Here's a sweet one.  About 10 seconds in, what sounds to be a child says, "I love you."

The last ten minutes of the recording was all about me.  I guess I'm a bitch, I'm a whore, I'm cool - oh, they had plenty to say on the subject of me.  Take this next clip, lots of whispers, then the hushed voice states, "April is jealous," followed by a woman calling out my name (which is VERY rare). I've said it before and I'll say it again - their comments don't bother me.  As the bishop told me, just as people are crude and liars in life, so they remain in death.  And what if I am a cool, jealous, bitch?  I just shrug...

Spirit Box Session

I updated you on events up to November 2, 2013 in the previous posts.  As I stated previously, I have gone from journaling paranormal events to Tweeting them.  This option allows fans to get real time updates as to what we are experiencing.  A small issue with this is that Twitter doesn't give you a lot of room for commenting. Here were the events we experienced from 11/3/12 - 11/15/12 (remembering that I do NOT record every time I hear my name, as it so frequent)...

Nothing like watching TV w the family and hearing dishes& pans moving in an empty kitchen last night...spirit box time?

The investigators lent us their "Spirit Box" or "Ghost Box" to try instead of just regular digital voice recording. This is a radio device that quickly scans radio stations. "The Ghost Box, is a communication tool used to speak with the other side. This is simply just a modified AM/FM portable radio that continuously scans the band. When on it is believed to create white noise and audio remnants from broadcast stations that entities are able to manipulate to create words or even sentences." http://voices.yahoo.com/ghost-box-8213761.html This type of paranormal research is HIGHLY debated and many argue that you can hear pieces of the radio stations and count these random words as evidence. A rebuttle to this is that the scan is so fast, hearing the same voice over a number of stations is a mathematical impossibility. I decided to give it a try in a proven haunted location (our home). I did my usual prayer of protection at the beginning and then listened for responses. I often went minutes (sometimes up to ten) without a single response; however, I thought the 20 + responses I did capture were VERY interesting. I tried to look for intelligent responses (responses to my direct questions) and/or long responses over numerous stations. By looking for these two types of responses, I greatly reduced the skeptics' arguments. Overall, I felt that it went very well, especially since I went into the session as a skeptic (seeing it in the TV show, Ghost Adventures, raised some doubts as I often did not hear what they heard and felt that they did not find multiple pieces of reliable, undisputed evidence). Most of my control questions were answered correctly (my name, my dog's name, etc.). I also discovered that the responses were often long and impossible to explain due to the rapid scan. I enjoyed hearing the voices clearly, instead of as whispers, as is often the case on the recordings I capture here. Well, I'll tell you what, YOU listen to a few of the clips and tell me what YOU think!

The very first one captured, I wouldn't consider an A EVP, but you can clearly hear a child while I am praying before I begin the session...

I then begin informing the recording about the conditions and while I do, a child says, "She wants us to sing, then what?" right away. You then hear the white noise from the "Spirit Box" go for a while then a man comes on and says, "I wouldn't..."  These are amazing captures, because the box is flipping through channels at a rapid pace and to capture the same voice over multiple channels is without a doubt paranormal.

I ask if they are trying to get our attention to which a girl clearly responds, "Okay."

In the next clip, I ask if they are trying to get our attention.  There is a reply and then a voice sings, "We love you..." AGAIN, this could not happen as the box is scanning each radio station rapidly - lkike 5 per second (maybe more) and to have the same voice say (or sing) a complete sentence or thought is impossible unless it is a spirit communicating!

I ask if they have been moving dishes and there are some responses, but the best is at around 30 seconds when a man admits, "I do do that." Again, same voice, speaking a complete thought over 4+ different stations - WOW!

I then ask a control question, what's my name?  A man says, "MILF." I brushed it off and asked again, what's my name and a computer man's voice says, "MILF."

I ask if they are still here and how many are here now and a man responds at :18, "We love you."

I then ask if they liked having the investigators here and a man responds, "We don't," followed by a woman saying, "It bores me." Well, good to know!

I ask again about the investigation and a woman asks, "Did we do okay?" A man says something about halfway into the clip, but I can't be certain of what is said.  What do you think?

This next one is a long one, so if you don't have time to wait for a download, just skip it, but it does give credibility to the "Spirit Box."  I ask them to say my name and then wait.  For over a minute.  Other things are said here and there, but I continue to wait for my name and at the end, a girl says, "April."

I then ask if they want my sister to stay here and a woman says, "Edith." I then ask my sister's name and a man then says, "Edith."  My sister's name is Heather or Tigger, NOT Edith. Their sister?

I then ask, who owns this house? and a response from a man comes right after, "Is that a trick?" Maybe he thinks the question is beneath him>  A different man then responds, "Bill."

I then ask who lives here with us and a man replies, "Nobody."  Then later a man responds with a familiar name, "Bob."

i ask if any of the children live here and a man responds, "We just work." Another nod to the purgatory theory.

I ask if they can see me right now and a man quickly responds, "Somethings blocking you."  He says something else that I can't quite discern and then I ask again to which he responds, "What's that."  We are nearing the end of the recording, and I notice that they are losing volume (energy?)...

I ask what color are my pants and a voice responds black, then a louder "Blue."

I ask who is here and I get numerous responses.  Scott, Michael...then a woman asks, "Does it tickle?" and a man responds a little later, "It hurts."  Then a woman clearly says, "Penny."  This clear name is over 3 different channels.

I ask if they have a message to share and there is not much of a response...until the end of this clip when a man says, "Don't date him."

I comment that I am listening and I can hear their response right away.  Not much of a response until the end of this clip when a melodic voice sings, "Blow me."

Just WHOM is in our Home? Here are some clues from the Paranormal Investigation

The following EVPs were captured during the paranormal investigation by Tri County Paranormal Group.AGAIN, they sound VERY different from our recordings because they use a VERY sensitive recording device, and even though we both use Wave Pad editing software, I do not do anything more than cut the recordings and slightly increase the volume.  They alter the volume on every cut, as well as reduce background noise and alter the speed of the recordings.  The voices are still there and the evidence is still real, it just sounds more like a Optimus Prime from Transformers!  I also cut my segments pretty long, to give you a feel of the room, while they cut pretty close to the EVP, but instead take EXCELLENT notes.  Tomato, tomato... These EVPs are all about WHOM might be living here with us.  VERY interesting, give them a listen!

Linda speaks about James, a previous owner who worked in a factory.  When she pauses, there are numerous whispers (I can hear quite a few Aprils), but then one of them speaks into the microphone what sounds like, "James...sit here...James." Maybe he is still around - I had a feeling he had moved on or crossed over.

Linda then asks if Mary, the earliest owner she could find, was here with her son.  When Linda pauses, a spirit says the name of the son before Linda does, "James...Bemis."   I am not certain he says that last name, but the "James" is spot on.

Linda then asks if the spirit is with the Vaughn family (original owner's wife's family) and this is the response.  I think it sounds like, "I knew Emeline, too," although the investigator heard children at the end. Emeline was the wife of the first recorded owner.

Linda then asks if they are related to James Winter Bemis (a different James then the original owner).  The investigator was not able to make out the response, but I clearly hear, "I don't think she knows him."  Who are they talking about? Is the "she" Linda or do they mean a spirit in the room?

This one is not as clear as some of the others, but I'd love to hear your take on it.  I ask how many spirits live here every day and the investigators think the response is, "That was last year, seventy-five."  I hear, "As of last year, seventy-five - okay?" What do you think?  At least it's less than ninety (the number I caught in prior recordings.

Linda then asks what she thinks is a control question, I believe she expected to get Emeline Vaugn, but instead she got a name completely unknown to ANY of us, "Jean Rose Meyer."

Another spirit speaks after the above clip and the investigators think it says, "MY mother is Jessie Westmoreland."  I certainly hear the, "My mother is..." but I am not certain about the name - what so you think?

I have other recordings from dates after the investigation; in fact, I just did one two days ago and it was INSANE!  Class A EVPs throughout, so, I am going to spend some time cutting my own recent recordings for you, and sprinkle more from the investigators over the weeks to follow!  WOW! More from the Paranormal Investigative Team

Here are some more clips from the TriCounty Paranormal Group that investigated our home in October and not only did they experience numerous paranormal events, but they also caught over 900 EVPS.  Obviously, I won't share them all with you; however I a have chosen a few more to share - with the focus being Knocks &  my husband.  Again, these sound WAY different from our usual because they used much more sensitive equipment and the audio specialist edits the clips slightly different then me.  What results from these differences is a Transformer sounding voice of the spirit.  While it is different, it is still pretty cool!

One of the investigators says, "Will you ask one to knock?" and it is immediately followed by a response of , "I will," and a knock!

I ask them to knock for us and right at the end, a spirit responds, "Yes," so close to the microphone it sounds breathy.

My husband then says, "i will ask them if they will knock on the bookshelf (he then knocks twice to demonstrate) like they did on the fourth of July."  This request is followed by two knocks, one loud, one soft.

After the two knocks, this was captured.  A man says slowly, "I am knocking here."

In this next clip, I am explaining that my husband always sees the little girl in the living room and one of the spirits respond, "She's crazy about (him)."  They also say, "She likes him" while I am speaking.

Linda, the female investigator, asks my husband, "Jon do you hear noises upstairs?" and immediately a spirit responds, 'All the time."

My husband then talks about our trip to Tomahawk when a spirit followed him there.  He is talking about one of the spirits calling his name up there, and a spirit here responds, "Gee!"

During our "story time" with the investigators, I comment that I think they were drawn to Jon and one of the spirits says, 'He loves us."

Evidence from Paranormal Investigation

Alright...we have finally met with one of the investigators from the TriCounty Paranormal Group that conducted an investigation on our home back in October.  The investigator that we met with was solely in charge of audio & genealogy.  She had one more recording to listen to, but thus far had found over 900 EVPs!  She seemed impressed with the amount of evidence as well as the content.  She discovered numerous spirits willing to speak with us - some who answered questions when asked, others who simply commented on us and the investigators, a few with messages for the investigators and of course, other spirits who were having conversations completely unrelated to any of the goings on.  She was reluctant to share a few, as she was worried how my husband and I would react.  We explained that there was not much we haven't heard from them - from lies to threats to comments on our daily life.  She said that one male spirit was attached to me and had a bit of a crush.  I wasn't surprised by this, as I have caught comments like that before; however, I am cautious to think that they are toward me.  She said that they were and he said he wouldn't leave without me.  Well, I don't plan on going anywhere for a LONG time and when I do, I will wait to take my soul mate with me; although, I bet this is the guy who comes into the bath/shower at times...anyway! She left us with hundreds of EVPs to share with you and I have been sifting through them, trying to chose which ones to share.  They sound VERY different from ours - as we use a simple Olympus voice recorder and she uses a high-tech parabolic dish.  It was rather refreshing to learn that she also uses NCH Wave Pad 8090336 (Google Affiliate Ad) to edit the clips, although we do it very differently.  I only use Wave Pad to cut and sometimes to increase the volume on the clips, while she uses it to remove background noise and slow down the clips.  We had a bit of a discussion on which way is the best way, and of course, everyone has their own opinions.  The clips that I will share with you are from their evidence and edited by them.  We found it hard to hear at first because much of the time the voices some like a Transformer,  but this is due to the different recording device and editing preference.

The first one is when Linda, the audio & genealogy expert is reading from a draft card she uncovered from someone who once lived here. After she says man, the Transformer-like voice says, "I'm watching." Then a female voice quickly says, "I've had enough."

Here's a quirky response to the investigator's question. She asks if the description on the registration card is a good description and he responds with this, "I'm a Genie." Humor? Or is he stating this in regards to his name?
