NUMEROUS EVPs BELOW!!!
After the previous EVP session, it was relatively quiet for a while. This just reaffirms our belief that the EVP sessions allow the spirits to get out their energy, leaving our house peaceful for a time. And if you recall, the session was FULL of voices, so they used A LOT of energy. We were also extremely busy with events outside our home and our son was ill for a few days. They don't seem to like to hang around when a family member is ill. On Monday, May 14, it started back up. In the afternoon, my husband and I were in the kitchen when the holy water that we keep in there flew off the cupboard at me. My husband saw it, too, and we knew the quiet had ended. Later that night, after everyone was in bed upstairs, my husband heard heavy footsteps come up the stairs and stop at the top. He got up to see if anyone was out there (daughter's boyfriend, perhaps?), but the hallway was empty. Before he could fall back asleep, our teenage daughter woke up and came out of her room saying (alright, kind of "flipping out") they were pounding on her walls. I went in to investigate, but they didn't do it again and she was able to fall back asleep. Wednesday, May 17, throughout the day, I heard bangs and what sounded like things being thrown around in the kitchen. Saturday night was game night in our living room. Everyone (including our dog) was downstairs having a great time. All of the game playing stopped when we heard someone walking around downstairs. Then, we heard heavy footsteps come down the stairs - squeaking as they traveled down. We could all see the stairway and no one was there. That is when we had to be more open about our "friends" with our son. He knows we have ghosts; in fact, he is the one that leads the prayers for them and listens to the coolest of the EVPs. we had, however, told him they were only in the downstairs bedroom. We had to explain that they were not limited to just the one room, but traveled throughout the home. He took it better than I thought - still loves our house - but was upset that we had lied to him. Sunday night, after everyone was in bed, our dog went nuts, barking at the front door. I woke up and checked - no one was there, but he continued to bark even after I checked.. This happened two more times. The following morning, I was followed by a cold breeze - it occurred everywhere (kitchen, bathroom, stairs, living room) and there wasn't a single door or window open, nor a fan on. I decided to do an EVP session around 1:20 that afternoon in my empty home. As usual, there are no TVs, radios or other electronic devices on. I set the recorder up on the coffee table in the family room (above) and was in the room for the first half, and was at the computer in the next room for the last half. I tried to capture them with my camera phone, but to no avail. I did see what I thought was an image of a cowboy, but due to the textured walls, I had to discount it due to the possibility of "visual matrixing." I tried an experiment - in order to give them an additional "boost" of energy, I turned a fan on low in the family room before and during the EVP session. I also spent the first 10 minutes doing an "active" EVP session - asking questions and waiting for responses. I caught some voices (no surprise there), but the fan idea was a STUPID one. It is VERY loud on the tape and makes hearing the voices very difficult. I make it a point not to alter the recordings, other than cutting them into smaller clips, so I did not remove the hum. During the session, I kept hearing heavy footsteps upstairs while the dog lay across my feet. Due to the background noise, the ones I will share with you today are only considered to be a "B" rating on the approved EVP scale.
This first clip has me still doing my introduction thing and I state that I am home alone, only to have a man respond with "As if..." at :07. A little ghost humor?
As If
The next one is a little louder (phew!) and contains three voices, all that would be certainly be scored a solid "B" on the EVP grading scale. At :01, a voice says, "It's April." A different voice says, "Hit me" at :04 and then another voice says, "Knife" at :06.
It's April. Hit Me. Knife.
At :01, you will hear a loud, hushed whisper demand, "Tell me." This is followed by a response of, "I've been thinking..." at :03. "It's not happening in here" is whispered a few times, with the loudest at :12.
Tell Me. I've Been Thinking. It's Not Happening in Here.
This next one could give someone a complex, but I have thick skin and am not concerned about the response! There is a super quiet whisper in the beginning followed by a louder, "April" at :07. Then the question is asked, "Do you like April?" at :10.
April. Do You Like April?
The next one again asks the question, "Do you like April?" but much quieter at :02. I pretty clear, loud voice answers either "I SO don't like her" or "I sorta like her." Oh well. My house.
I So Don't Like Her?
The next one has a lot of whispering, but CLEAR call-outs for me at :05 and :17, as well as a "what" at :09. The repetition of my name is what I hear often throughout the days (and nights).
April, April!
This next clip contains many whispers, but it's the child at :07 that I feel earns a "B" rating as he/she calls for "Momma."
Momma
The next one contains a woman clearly asking, "Who's there?" at :03.
Who's There?
This one is borderline A EVP, but due to the stupid fan, I will categorize it as a B. A woman CLEARLY says, "Don't be a dumbass" at :03.
Don't Be a Dumbass
This next one is a little longer. At :03, a man hurridly, aggressively whispers, "April." I comment that I heard a footstep and a woman quietly whispers, "No you didn't" at :07 (this one is VERY quiet), followed by a footstep at :08. I then call out for my husband, as I think he MUST be home for lunch, but one of them quietly whispers at :17, "Jon isn't here."
Footsteps
A super cool one, but too quiet to share was when I asked if our prayers are helping, a response says, "Tell CJ thank you for trying to help." How sweet! Cj is our 9-year-old son. Well, I hope you enjoy listening to the ones above. I am VERY excited to begin clipping the next recording - it is one I made that same night, but at three a.m. which some people swear is the best time to get recordings. I also wasn't running a fan, so I can't WAIT to listen! Check back soon...
