September began relatively quiet, until Monday, September 3. When I came home from work, my daughter said, Your 'friends' want your attention." After a LOT of prodding, I got her to tall me what she meant. She said that the night before, she was lying upstairs in bed and everyone else was asleep. She heard someone come up the stairs and stop at the landing, but did not go into any room. She then heard the footsteps go down the stairs and then her brother's door slam shut. She slept downstairs after that event.
The next day, Tuesday, school FINALLY began. Once I arrived home from work, I did an EVP session, while I worked on my site. I recorded in the family room, and made sure all TVs and anything else that might interfere were off. All the doors and windows were shut as the air conditioning was on. I was home alone.

In the picture above, you can clearly see where I left the recorder and I spent most of the time in the next room, on the computer. There is not any apparition in this picture, I just like to add a picture so that you can get a feel for where it was being recorded. After I began the recording, I always follow it with the prayer to St. Micheal. People often ask me what prayer I use and I will share that with you now:
St. Micheal the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
An do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God,
thrust into hell satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world fro the ruin of souls.
Amen
As I have stated before, we also have blessed St. Micheal medals that we wear. My husband is the only one of us who NEVER takes it off. This is quite humorous as he is Lutheran and does not believe in Saints (or at least he didn't, until we moved here). My son wore his for about 3 months, but feels comfortable enough now not to wear it. I wear mine occasionally; I WOULD wear it more, except every chain I try gets tangled in my hair. There is a closing prayer to the one above, but I will admit that I often forget to say it. The closing prayer is as follows:
In the name of Jesus Christ, I command all human spirits to be bound to the confines of the cemetery.
I command all inhuman spirits to go where Jesus Christ tells you to go,
for it is He who commands you.
Amen
Back to the recording...I left it recording for about 40 minutes and cut over 50 clips containing EVPs. There were SO many that for most of them, I was just cutting the large recording into 30 second sessions to make it easier to download. I will share the "A" & "B" (see the EVP ratings on the right to better understand the universal rating scale) recordings with you now.
The first clip is from the very beginning as I am instructing them to speak into the orange light. As I am talking a man talks with me at :02, but it is not easy to decipher. When I stop talking, you can hear my dog barking and I walk past the recorder to go let him in. After I leave the area, you ca again, hear the man say loudly, "Corn," at :07. Then a different voice whispers, "Are you gonna..." I don't even PRETEND to know what he is talking about, I just share the evidence. Rating: A
This next one contains a Grade A EVP. I am walking past the recorder again - going into the kitchen. At :03 and :05, a voice commands, "Sit! Sit!" and a few seconds later says my name at :08, "April!" I then tag a noise in the recording by saying, "That was me" as I am getting something to drink. I listened to this without headphones and could hear it perfectly with just the speakers.
In this clip I walk into the bathroom and close the door (that is the jingle sound you hear) and then my dog drinks from his dog dish. Right after these regular events, the voices begin. A female says something like, 'She can't...She can't hear it," and a man responds to her.
She Can't Hear It
This next one is considered a "B" recording. I am typing on the computer in the living room and am ALONE. At :06 you can hear a muffled child followed by a whole bunch of whispering. At :27, the child loudly says something that sounds like, "Search." Since I am not 100% sure that the child says, "Search." it is considered a "B" recording. Remember that we have again captured the child - a few days later, we capture a child in a picture!

This next clip validates what I mean by I hear hear my name being called numerous times a day. This is pretty much what I hear with my own ears, without even the recorder. I quit documenting this as it is so frequent. I would probably categorize this a "B" recording, as my name is whispered, but it is certainly clear what they are saying. The loudest "April"s are heard at :01, :10, :15, :17, and :18, but there are more throughout. At the beginning, they actually say, "Don't tell April," and at the end they whisper loudly, "She loves this place." Huh? You know what, don't tell me - I probably don't want to know!
This next clip contains lots of whispers (as usual). It also has me clearing my throat, then tagging it. I then comment that I am drinking coffee and that clank you hear is me putting down my cup. As soon as I finish saying that, a little girl whispers, "Really? That's me..." It is clear what she says, but since she whispers it, I consider it a Class B recording.
This next one begins with an odd sound or voice at :01 that I haven't heard before or after this clip. It is not a part of the normal house sounds. At :04, a graveling-voiced man whispers, "How cute." The metallic sounding man responds to him at :06 with, "I don't see that." After they talk, I let the clip run long to give you a comparison of the normal sounds versus voices. The two sentences can be heard without headphones, so this would be an "A" EVP.
In this next clip, there are MANY whispers going on, with the most clear being around 23 seconds in, when a man whispers, "Let's get April to stop it."
Let's Get April to Stop It
Right after that, I found that they were STILL talking about me. Right at the beginning it sounds like someone aggressively whispers, "April fucked this place up." They continue talking about me, but the rest are pretty quiet.
April F-ed This Place Up
This one features a man and a child. Still talking about me. A few seconds in a man whispers, "April's coming." A few seconds after that, a girl replies with something like, "She did...move around."
April's Coming
I was on the fence about sharing this one, as it is not super loud & clear; however, when I hear that little voice in the beginning, I can't resist. It sounds like a child says, "IT's what they do..." in the beginning followed by a man saying, "April" in a husky voice a few seconds afterwards.
It's What They DO
Following closely to the previous clip is this one...Oh, sure, plenty of whispers throughout, but the best and clearest for you will be at the beginning. A man whispers something about guilt, but then at :03 he LOUDLY whispers, 'You are guilty!" This is followed by a menacing voice even louder still responding, "I don't care!"
You are Guilty!
Wow. So I was reviewing this clip and I thought, you, I hear whispers. If I listen hard enough, I can even hear a child in on the conversation. They seem to be asking for and discussing help. Just as I was about to move the file into permanent storage, I heard the LOUD response to the child around 23, "Helped you!" It's now a keeper!
Help

Here's one where they are again calling for my ghost hunting sister...
The last clip is right towards the end. I have stepped outside to take a call - I walked far, far away. The only one in the house is our dog. I couldn't believe it whne I heard the "Shave and a Haircut" knock. My dog even hears it because you can hear him get up and walk away. Then a man whispers, "On;y if you really love me..."

Shave & a Haircut
As I stated above, we will be sharing 2 more pictures that we have caught them in - so make sure to check back soon! Before I leave you, though, I wanted to share one more important prayer with you. This is a prayer that the Bishop's office shared with us to say every day as a family. We often run out of time to say it altogether - we probably only do it once a week, but my son and husband say it every night in their personal prayers and I believe it truly has helped some of them!
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace.
Amen
