Follow our family's story from the purchase of our dream home in April of 2011... Our story begins with odd occurances and moves towards realization that we are not alone in our home. Our journey progresses daily towards acceptance and a desire for understanding...
Welcome to our family's paranormal journey. In order to hear the EVPs yourselves, ear buds or ear phones are recommended and turn up your volume. If you don't have ear phones or ear buds, we have posted the loudest and clearest EVPs on the right-hand side.

EVPs BELOW!!

After the recording on the 29th, the activity actually intensified.  This is abnormal...typically after an EVP session, they are drained of energy and things calm down for a while.  NOPE.  Not this time.  The night of the 29th/morning of the 30th, I kept waking up with a creepy feeling that someone was in the room or watching us. When my alarm went off at 2:30, I snoozed it only to have someone SNAP their fingers in my face - inches from my nose.  I sat up with my heart POUNDING only to hear another loud, clear snap in the hallway outside our bedroom door.  Needless to say, I didn't go back to sleep - I checked on the children and then QUICKLY got ready and got out.  My husband said that when he was got up at 5 am, we went into the kitchen and was making breakfast.  He could clearly heard a woman talking in our living room.  He checked to see if it was our daughter or a TV but there was no explanation and the talking stopped as soon as he walked into the room.  Later that night we were talking and we both stated that the house feels "crowded."
The next day, only my alarm woke me up (thankfully).  My husband did not hear any voices in the morning, but he said that when he went out to start his car, he noticed that the garage light was on.  As he was walking back he made a mental note to shut it off.  Well, once he got in the house and got the kid moving - he forgot.  At least until he walked past it again and saw it was off.  When he got home he checked and the light bulbs still worked - someone had simply shut off the lights for him.  When I got home that day, I had a rough time.  It was the first time EVER that I considered leaving my home in fear and frustration and not returning until others came home.  I didn't, though. I stayed because it is MY house and I was NOT going to be run out of MY house.  So what happened to get me to that point?  Well, when I got home that morning, my neighbor stopped over for coffee.  We were talking in the kitchen when she stopped the conversation and said, "April, the cupboard just opened."  I shrugged and said , "Welcome to our haunted house."  I closed it tight and a half hour later, it did it again.  Needless to say, she was uncomfortable about that.  After she left, I made lunch and then I began filling the sink to do dishes.  The water stopped mid-stream.  I thought that was odd.  Checked the bathroom water - worked fine.  I played with the knobs and handles, but couldn't get it going.  I went to call my husband but my phone was GONE.  I had just used it to call my sister and it was GONE.  I looked and looked, knowing it had been MOVED, not misplaced.  About a half hour later, I CLEARLY heard someone walking around upstairs.  I was getting a little overwhelmed with the activity by this point.  I did NOT go check on the footsteps.  I stayed downstairs like a big chicken.  Minutes after the footsteps, a door upstairs slammed shut.  This caused my heart to pound - NO windows are open in December!  When I was writing this down, trying to calm my nerves, no lie - the water decided to come on FULL BLAST in the kitchen.  I yelled, "Knock it off!"  but this did not calm my nerves.  I couldn't call anyone to talk it out - my phone was gone.  About 15 minutes later, the bathroom door slammed shut, shaking the placard on the door. I was frazzled and wanted to leave.  As I said earlier, I didn't.  I stood my ground, how ever shaky my knees were.  I told my husband about my day in the "House of Horrors" and he said it felt crowded and active - even more so.  When I went to bed that night, he was in the kitchen alone and he called them all in.  I am SO proud of his bravery.  He told them to gather round him and he flat out told them to stop messing with me and that if they didn't he was going to bring in every priest and bishop we could get and after that, we would rent our house out to crazy ghost hunters who would chase them every night while we moved back into our nice, quiet house in the nearby town.  It must have done something, because that night was the first night in a while that we both got a decent night sleep.

The next day, I recorded this EVP in my living room at 9 am while I was home alone with my dog, Prancer.  The recorder was sitting next to me on an empty chair in a quiet house.  I had NO TVs or radios going.  I was not on the phone.  The only noise was me eating lunch (yes, at 9 am - I get up at 2:30 am) and working on the computer.  It FELT better in the house, but I wanted to make sure they got out all of their energy so we could live peacefully for a few days.  I only recorded for 20 minutes, but I did catch quite a few EVPs.  I didn't hear from James, our "friendly" ghost.  We mostly captured a woman, a different man and a child.  I will play a few for you now...

The first one I caught right away while I am dating and marking the recording.  After I say, "...empty chair" a woman interrupts with an S-word comment - so what? Sarah?  Tell me what YOU think.
Woman

This one is pretty basic.  It simply states my name.
Clear April

This one has four different EVPs in it.  At :06, someone whispers what sounds like, "An angel drew ___."  At :08, there is an "April."  At :13 you will hear the clearest one of the day, "Michael" (spoken by a child?)  followed by a soft correction, "Mike" at :17.
Michael

The next one has whispers of what sounds like, "Sarah," but then about halfway into the recording, a clear whisper to, "Aim for cover."
Aim for Cover

This next one starts off with me moving in my chair, then immediately a woman says, "You scared me."  And a few seconds later she says, "It's okay."  A little while longer it sounds like she says, "It's Mandy."  That chewing sound?  Still me.
You Scared Me. It's Okay.

This next clip features what sounds like a child.  There are more whispers at the beginning, but they are tough to hear.  At about :17, I "hiccup" and the at :20 a child whispers loudly, "What planned this?"
What Planned This?

In this clip a woman says, "Greetings," at :02 followed up with a polite, "It's good to meet you" at :10.
Greetings. It's Good to Meet You.

And for you fans that have listened to all of them...remember the sneeze?  Well, must be cold season because at :03 a man says, "Achoo!"  while I am eating.  There are more soft whispers towards the end...
Achoo!

The next one is for those who are really good at listening for the whispers.  In this clip, a woman says , "Stay right there, Michael" and another voice says, "Stick up" at :15.
Stay Right There, Michael/Stick UP

Hopefully you were able to hear these - they are pretty cool.  With the holiday approaching, I realize a lot of you do not have as much time to check in and listen.  We are placing a new poll to see if you want us to keep posting up to and during the holidays, or if we should wait until after Christmas to post any more!  I have more recordings and my sister will be here soon to do an official "hunt," so lack of evidence is not a factor.  I just want to make sure that everyone gets a chance to be with their loved ones AND be able to keep up with all of our evidence.  So please vote!  We will be checking it daily!  Merry Christmas!
