Follow our family's story from the purchase of our dream home in April of 2011... Our story begins with odd occurances and moves towards realization that we are not alone in our home. Our journey progresses daily towards acceptance and a desire for understanding...
Welcome to our family's paranormal journey. In order to hear the EVPs yourselves, ear buds or ear phones are recommended and turn up your volume. If you don't have ear phones or ear buds, we have posted the loudest and clearest EVPs on the right-hand side.

November 27, 2011 Part 1

EVPs BELOW!

We waited quite a few days between recordings for no other reason other than we were busy with life.  It was the week of Thanksgiving so we had a lot to do; in addition, I ended up getting ill for a few days so the recordings did not take priority.  It was rather quiet that week; of course, we weren't home that much either.

Over Thanksgiving we were able to have some deep, theoretical discussions with my family regarding the paranormal activity here.  As devout Catholics, most took to believing that anything paranormal was certainly of the devil.  That did concern me - of course, as a Catholic myself, it always had been eating at me.  I DO believe in the devil and that there are demons.  I have read about demonic possessions and have seen proof of demonic attacks on reality television shows (usually scratches and bites).  Our spirits, while sometimes having a potty mouths, don't seem evil - more human.  I know that demons can imitate whoever and whatever they need to in order to get their desired response, but my husband and I have been trying to figure out just exactly what these people are that live here and we really believe that they are just people.

I have been getting the feeling that when a person dies, if they can completely let go and trust God take them to heaven (or cast them elsewhere) then they move on.  That person needs to have complete faith that their family and friends will be taken care of and to let go of unresolved earthly issues.  These people left behind are those who couldn't release their hold and faith freely - whether due to faith issues or simply not willing to leave people or things readily - are left behind in purgatory here on earth.  I believe that when Jesus returns to judge the living and the dead, it is at this time that they can go to heaven.  This is not taught by my church and I have no proof of this - it is more of an educated guess based on what I have learned my entire life and from what I am learning while living here.  I do NOT believe that this is the answer.  Just a theory on what is going on here.

My husband has a slightly different outlook on why these people are here.  It is easy to see that they use energy to communicate here.  He believes that it is energy itself holding them back - a religious energy.  His working theory is that when we die, most of us are mourned for and prayed for - and it is the cummulation of all these peoples' prayers at your death and funeral that send you to heaven.  After talking to my Catholic family, he also believes that we need to be praying for these trapped, forgotten souls to hopefully get them on their way.  He began praying for them Thanksgiving night (I have been praying for them since July).

My Catholic family believes that any and all paranormal activity is mearly the devil in disguise.  I see their point, and I consider myself Catholic, but I like to think that we do not yet know all of the answers.  I do believe their are demons and evil entities - 100%.  But I am left to wonder, what about the spirits that we live with?  Is it possible that they are trapped here?  And if so, why only here and not the 20 other places we have lived in our lifetime?  That question does make me leave my theory wide open, as it doesn't quite fit.  Well, none of them do - which is why this experience is so fascinating, not from a entertainment standpoint but as a learning journey.  I did, however, get advice from my uncle and cousin to call my bishop to help those who are trapped and I did call.  Not out of fear, but concern for anyone who may be trapped here - especially the child and the young girl...I am still waiting for a call back, though.

So enough with the theories, right?  I know you guys want to hear EVPs, but one last theory which will deliver us to tonight's EVPs.  My husband and I have a number of theories after living in a haunted house for eight months, but the recording on November 27 helps to provide evidence of one of them.  We began recording the spirits in September in order to give them a more constructive use of their energy - one that doesn't involve moving or breaking objects or simply, well,  freaking us out.  We notice that when we do allow them to talk into recorder, the activity diminishes and it feels less "crowded."  We also notice that they love when we are talking or moving - that is when they speak the loudest.  They seem to draw more energy from us.  Well, my husband wanted to see if they are equally active when we are asleep (plus he wanted to catch something from out of the silence like "please help me" was this summer).  Well, he left the digital voice recorder in the kitchen Sunday night when he went to bed.  It ran for five hours and I will tell you, it was pretty quiet once everyone bedded down.  Do they go somewhere else when we sleep?  Do they rest?  Or, is it simply that they don't have enough energy to be able to communicate as actively?  We would love to hear your thoughts on the subject!  I will, in the meantime, post a few EVPs from the first part of that night - I'll be honest, it is taking me FOREVER to get through all of the recording!

The first one is captured before everyone is snuggled in for the night.  You can hear my hubby walking around upstairs and at :06 a nice, clear, "April."
April

This next EVP contains the usual hushed, "april" followed by a child saying, "April."  Then my husband heads towards the stairs and there is a super quiet, "Alright, here he comes."
April. April. Alright, Here He Comes.

The next clip is kind of cool if you can hear it.  My husband is upstairs talking quietly with my son (that is the young voice you hear in the beginning - I think).  Close by the recorder you hear a bang and a quick, "Sorry." The bang is not the usual ice maker noise, but almost as if someone ran into something?
Bang. Sorry.

The boys are still moving around upstairs, but at :08 you can hear a voice whisper, "Can we trust?" and them answered with a quiet, "Yes."
Can we trust? Yes.

My son is moving around upstairs, but you can clearly hear "Come help" at :02 and "Come in" at :13.  At :18 it sounds like "Come help."
Come Help. Come in. Come help.

While they are coming down for one last potty break, you can hear, "Too many (money?)" and then after a few more seconds, he (not one of MY guys) calls for my dog, "Prancer."  They actually play a little in the kitchen, then.
Too Many. Prancer.

When my hubby closes the bathroom door (the clang sound) you can hear someone whisper, "Who are they?" pretty clearly.  The response is a little quieter, "The owners."
Who Are They? The Owners.

Warning - this next one starts off a little loud; my hubby is getting a drink of water for my son.  Immediatly when he turns off the eater, you hear, "Come on."  A little later there is another, "Come on."  Maybe they are sick of waiting for peace and quiet?
Come On. Come On.

This next one is from after all are in bed.  At :03 you can hear a hushed, "Answer" followed quickly by what sounds like "Bathroom."  Then, there is the knock, and a woman softly whispering.
Answer. Bathroom.

Another from when they are finally sleeping upstairs, a clear woman (who sounds like me, but I have been sleeping for three hours - UPSTAIRS) says, "Some water."
Some Water.

Not too much longer after that one, we caught what sounds like the same woman saying, "Safe water."
Safe Water.

The next clip is what I meant by super quiet - even the heater has stopped.  All you hear is the clock.  And someone say, "No."
No.

Well, we have a BUNCH more to post, but it is WAY past my bedtime - so until tomorrow...Good night!
