We were getting more and more settled in. As we did, we noticed more and more oddities around the house. We knew it was an old house and we tried dismissing most things as the house "settling." Nothing really smacked us in the face and said "GHOST," well, at least until the last days in May...

5/19/11 Our 8-year old son refuses to go upstairs by himself. He said he feels like someone is "watching him." We told him it was nothing and he had nothing to worry about - but he refuses to be alone on ANY floor to this day. We did not mention anything about paranormal to him, and we still shelter him from it as much as possible.

5/23/11 Came home to find a glass vase shattered across the kitchen floor

5/26/11 I was yelling at my dog in the kitchen because he wouldn't stop barking when we both were silenced by a large CRASH in the living room. I went in to find all of the bills knocked over across the floor.

5/27/11 My son was on the computer in the living room when he shouted out for help. We ran in to find the very solid light by the desk tipped over onto him.

5/28/11 We came home to find the globe on the ceiling fan in the living room had fallen and shattered across the room. I had changed the bulbs earlier in the week and had personally tightened, checked and rechecked the screws.

5/30/11 My husband saw a "teenage girl" walk from the kitchen into his daughter's room. He said hello and followed along to see which teenage daughter of ours it was. The room was empty. He was pretty shaken up, and stopped dismissing events as anything other than paranormal.

5/31/11 I was resting in the family room after lunch. I heard the garage door slam and footsteps come through the kitchen. The dog went nuts barking - but refused to go to the kitchen with me. No one was there. He spent the next hour hiding under my legs, shaking.

It was at this point that I realized we had something going on here. I tried to find out more about our house - our Realtor had no idea when the house was built, all he knew is it was over 100 years old. I inquired at the title company as well - they had simply said "see other title" when in came to research and history. I spoke with a friend who was a Realtor and had shown it numerous times. She told me that this house was built on top of a cemetery and two other homes next to ours had always experienced paranormal activity as well. I took all hearsay with a grain of salt, but committed myself to finding out the history of this home.
