EVPs BELOW!!!
My husband left for an business trip the day before. The feeling around the house was sad, as we are a close family and his presence was missed immediately. Also, that day, the weather turned overcast and gloomy. I believe the strong feeling in the home as well as the weather made activity increase. That day, around 5 am I was up getting the house ready for his departure and I distinctly heard a child say, "April" in the family room. No one was awake, much less on the main floor. I stated that I heard them and went about my business. At about 5:45 am, I noticed that the bathroom door facing the kitchen had closed shut on its own. I didn't see it closed-, but I had noticed it was open after my shower and considered closing it, but decided against it as no one was awake. I am CERTAIN is was open, but not at 5:45 am. After my husband left the house held a genuine creepy feeling. Like we were being watched. At 2 pm, I needed supplies from the craft closet at the top of the basement stairs. I went in there and I heard someone climb heavily up the stairs above me to the bedrooms. I went and checked, but my son was glued to the computer with the dog at his feet and the girls were not home. I colored my hair later and while I was rinsing it in the shower I felt there was someone just outside of the curtain. I have not been creeped out by my house, but this was different. I ended up finishing the shower with the curtain wide open.
The next day had the same feeling. After everyone went to school, I left the recorder running while I worked on the blog and worked around the house.
This clip is VERY unsettling to my husband and me. It was recorded in our living room when I was home ALONE working on this blog. Before we tell you what we hear, we want to know what YOU hear.
Unsettling.
Okay, my husband and I (and our daughter and friend) clearly hear "Kill, Kill, Kill, Kill." My husband does also hear a quiet "Don't count this," right before the infamous Friday the Thirteenth theme chant. We do have a few theories as to what this might mean. Listen again with our interpretation:
:02 & :08 whispers :09 "don't count it" :10 Kill kill kill kill
Okay, the one above is the best capture of the day, but here are a few more "good" ones to keep your interest peaked! As suggested, I have made the clips a little longer so that you can get a better feel for the room and sounds. It was recorded in the living room, where I was in and out of for the hour. NO TVs or radios were on. Prancer was the only one home with me.
The very first one is caught when I am "tagging" the DVR with the date, place, possible environmental noises...I saw there won't be any TV's on while this is recording and there is whispering at :04. At :09 "what did she say? and then Chris or Quit it (:11) a second before I say please tell us your name.
What did she say?
I am still alone and without television or radio; however, my mom does call for a few minutes. While I am on the phone with her they jump in, as usual. At :05 I say "yeah" as the man LOUDLY says, "Are you?" At :08 he says another word to end his question(?) but I can't make it out. Then at :10 you can hear the woman talking to him and at :11 and :13 the woman quietly giggles.
Are you?
I am still on the phone with my mother. At the very start of the this clip, you can hear, "April" imbedded in the sounds from the washer. At :01-:02 the man says what sounds like, "Your mule." I don't understand it, yet, but I know you will all be able to hear it.
Your mule
The next clip is one of sounds. You can hear me talking on the phone far away - I am actually outside taking the compost out. So NO ONE is IN the house. This clip, however, proves otherwise. At :04 someone squeaks for Prancer (which we have caught before) and then at :06 there is a CLEAR knock. Prancer ruffs a little, but doesn't go nuts like he does when there is someone at the door. That is because no one was at the door.
Squeaks and Knocks
The last clip is one that only the seasoned EVP listener will be able to hear with headphones. If you don't hear it, don't worry. It is VERY quiet and I was just going to keep it for ourselves, but I LIKE what it says. And it's my blog, so I am putting a NICE one on it, even if it is tough to hear. You can hear me typing and then an odd ping pong ball sound. We don't have a ping pong ball. Then at :31 someone says, "Ask her to forgive, forgive." Man says "Give?" at the end. AGAIN, HARD TO HEAR.
Ask her to forgive
So back to our thoughts on the scary, "Kill, kill, kill, kill" one. While SUPER scary at first, after some discussion I think it dates one of them. It is clearly the Jason theme, so whoever said it, must be from the 80's. Right? Also, I think whoever did it is just trying scare us. Maybe they want their house back but, it is our house. My husband thinks the "Don't count it" beforehand was a hint to us not to read too much into it. What do you think? We even discussed stopping the EVP sessions. HOWEVER, when we don't listen, the activity picks up to the point of apparitions and breaking things. They want us to pay attention or at least acknowledge them. So by recording them, we are keeping the activity to a minimum. Also, we are gathering scientific information about a subject that we as a generation have little information about. What if we could learn about where they are? We are Christians and believe most souls go to heaven, but are they possibly in purgatory or simply a different dimension? We might actually be able to be able to answer some of these things. So, for the time being, we will keep recording, yet our family's safety is always first. We welcome a discussion or your own theories!
