EVPs BELOW!!
This was a busy day. We were gone all day and night - and my husband came home! We finally arrived home at 10:30 pm. After he relaxed a little, we decided to try to capture a few EVPs. We left it taping in the family room, on top of the big TV. It was NOT ideal conditions. Our son was home, but upstairs in bed watching TV. The TVs downstairs were NOT on (even though it is in the picture from the next day). My daughter was home watching a movie upstairs with her boyfriend. Only my husband and I were downstairs that night, and most of it was spent outside on our patio or in the kitchen. Our son fell asleep right away, and the other two were super quiet.
I will lead off with the BEST ONE EVER! Seriously, I know I always say that, but they keep getting better. This one is caught at 2 am, when my husband and I are in the kitchen. My voice can be heard talking (it's the deep, tired one) and when I pause, a CHILD says "TOOT TOOT" as clear as day (:11). I was worried people might think it was me, even though I knew it wasn't. You can clearly hear the difference in location, with "Toot toot" coming from the same room. After I listened to it and my husband listened like thirty times, I continued on with the recording AND FOUND THE PROOF. A few seconds later, you can hear me talking again and the child says, "Toot toot" quieter but while I am talking (:33). I can't believe how clear this is. My son actually asked to hear it (his first EVP ever) and was able to hear it from just our cheap speakers.
Toot, Toot
A few minutes later, I came across this strange sound. I replayed it over and over. Then I realized it came shortly after the "toot toot." I began to wonder if this wasn't a child making a crash noise (:09), like he was playing with cars from earlier. Following this noise, there is an unexplained cough and gasping - more play? My husband, on the other hand, thinks the noise is that oxygen machine we swear we keep picking up (remember when we moved in, there were signs that read, "Oxygen in use"). He said at :09, you hear a blow into the recorder, followed by the oxygen machine. And shortly thereafter, the coughs and gasping and again, the child's voice. Listen and tell us what you think!
A little later
We caught the child earlier in the night. There is no talking. The only sound you hear is the heater and computer. At :04 a child says, "All done."
All Done
I really like the message in this next one. If you have been following our blog, you know we get some pretty creepy ones. In this clip, my husband and I are discussing whether they are good or bad spirits. My husband says, "I don't consider them evil. Probably more along the lines of malevolent." Right after this, there is a whisper that replies, "True." (:04) I say "What's that mean? They don't care?" My husband responds, "No," and the woman CLEARLY says, "We do care" (:14). The man whispers something else, but I can't make it out over my husband finishing his sentence.
We Do Care
The next clip also features the woman. My husband and I are in the kitchen and he is talking about how he doesn't like to travel. At :09 when he breaks, there is the woman's husky, almost mechanically voice that says, "Get up now."
Get Up Now
We caught quite a few more, but as I stated before, I am trying to be picky and to just post the best of the best. I was asked today how we get these voices. Honestly, we just bought a basic digital voice recorder and let it run. Sometimes we ask questions and wait for responses, but most of the time we just say the date, location, and who's around. We then instruct them to talk into the light if they want to be heard and they do. While we are recording, we "tag" things like noises, mumbling by us, or anything we may confuse for paranormal later on. This is a HUGE help. The hardest part is actually listening to it later. I have learned shorter sessions are way easier to listen to. I still have some eight hour sessions from September that I keep putting off listening to! I was also asked if we hear these when we are recording. Most of the time - nope. These are voices that can only be caught on a recorder. We do hear voices while we live here, don't get me wrong! But, usually it is when the recorder is off (which is most of the time). Thank you for checking in! Come back to visit any time!
**Just a side note about the child from above. The child's voice was captured AFTER my son was in bed, asleep. Also, we have an OLD house, and you can hear someone walk down every step as they all creak loudly, and NO ONE came down all night. Remember, son is in fourth grade and wouldn't dare be caught saying something as "baby-ish" as "toot toot." Lastly, LISTEN to the child's voice. It is young. I mean YOUNG. My own mother listened to it and said there is no way that is my son.***
