Follow our family's story from the purchase of our dream home in April of 2011... Our story begins with odd occurances and moves towards realization that we are not alone in our home. Our journey progresses daily towards acceptance and a desire for understanding...
Welcome to our family's paranormal journey. In order to hear the EVPs yourselves, ear buds or ear phones are recommended and turn up your volume. If you don't have ear phones or ear buds, we have posted the loudest and clearest EVPs on the right-hand side.

Halloween 2011

EVPs BELOW!!!

As promised, I will be posting clips from three separate EVP sessions from Halloween.  Before I do, I will also update you on events preceding Halloween.  On Saturday, October 29, 2011, I was in the kitchen when I clearly heard the man call my name.  Sunday, my stepdad came over to install a light.  He has NO interest in the paranormal and refuses to talk about it.  When they were taking a break in the kitchen, we all heard a glass fall.  We looked and couldn't find it.  I told him welcome to the ghost house.  He brushed it off and gruffly said, I don't believe in ghosts, whatever, etc.  In the room where the light was going in, my husband and he saw the lightbulbs pushed off the desk where they were sitting.

Halloween

Being that it is a day, well, let's be real here, of haunting, I figured I would record a few separate sessions.
My apologies, we are having brown-outs here (not paranormal) and I lost all of my hard work on the first section, so I will try it again and update often!

At about 10 in the morning, I decided to do an EVP session while I was alone in the house with Prancer.  And OF COURSE, there were NO TVs or RADIOS on. I caught numerous EVPs that are whispers (usually of the female residents' name).  However, I am going to try to avoid whispers for a while as a few of you don't listen with ear buds and complain that you can't hear every one.  Please feel free to give me feedback, so I can make better choices of the clips I share so that you all can have a great experience.  Or let me know when you get the ear buds and we can go back to adding whispers, too!

The first clip is from the very start.  It has me stating the date, location, etc.  While I pause,  the woman say Crap or Craw after I mention Halloween.  I end by saying we are in Mac's room.  We were but I then walk it out to the living room where I will be working.  They seem to be more active around us, so I wanted to make sure I was recording in the right place.  The woman speaks at :04.
Crap or ????

This next one is pretty cool.  I get up and leave for the kitchen.  At :22 you hear someone breathe directly into the microphone.  Then, they call my name three times : 26, 30, 38.
Breathing. April April April

The next one is pretty cool.  It is evidence that this haunting is more that EVPs.  I am working in the living room and am recording there.  I have a bit of feed out front so you can accumulate to the sounds of the keys and crows.  At :25-26 there are no keys or crows, but you hear one of them say, "Kill Kill Kill" such as before.  Only this time is isn't as scary - could they be trying to mimic the sounds of the house?  Then, at :36 you clearly hear a glass fall two rooms away in the kitchen.  I told you this stuff happens all the time around here!
Kill. Glass Falls.

Okay, and a final CLEAR one that doesn't require ear buds.  At :09, the man clearly says, "Your cratch."  What is that???  I have NO IDEA!  I thought maybe, You're Crass, but the tch is clear at the end.  Any idea what this might mean?  Hey, but you can hear him, right?
Your Cratch
The second session I recorded was at 1 pm.  I set it up in the family room for most of the session, on the familiar black table. The room is pictured above and yes, that looks like a face in the mirror.  I believe it is visual matrixng - our eyes putting shapes together to create a familiar form.  I think it is just the curtains and the reflection s making what looks like a face, but isn't.  Anyway, you can see the recorder on the black table in the shot. I was alone with my dog, in the next room about 3 feet away.  No TVs were on during the recording.

The first one I really like because it is similar to this summer's capture of, "Four.  Knock Knock."  This one begins right away (sorry, not much lead) at :01 you can hear a man say, "One" followed by two short knocks.
One. Knock Knock.

The next clip is another attempt at a name.  You can hear me clicking on the computer and I do amplify the volume for you just before he says, "Charles" at :09.  There is some whispering after, but it is very faint.
Charles

The next one is pretty cool.  You can hear me stand up right away and at :04, someone says "She got up" followed by the infamous two snaps.  My husband also hears a small voice say, "Let's go, let's go" between the words and the snaps.
She Got Up. Snap Snap

This next one isn't remarkable, but I caught this same noise throughout the hour long session (along with my name whispered A LOT).  It's a strange Ch-Ch sound.  Any ideas what it may be?  It is not my house noises, because this is the only one of the day I caught it.
Chanting

I LOVE this next one.  Towards the end of the recording, I took the DVR into the kitchen so I could do some chores.  I went down the hallway of the kitchen into the bathroom (pictured above) and left the door open.  Hey, I was home alone.  I closed it afterward as I was going to shower and you can hear the door jingle closed, then the woman clearly say, "It IS funny."  I think she found my selective modesty humorous (as I do now, too).
It IS funny

The last room that we taped in was the laundry room - nestled between the kitchen and Mac's room.  Conditions were not ideal; I kept the TVs off, but once my daughter came home, they were on.  I did capture a lot of great EVPs that I had to discard because of the background noise tainting its credibility.  You guys need to understand, I listen to these over and over.  I try to rule them out as EVPs by trying to find other things they could be.  And even when I do that, I keep listening for background noices or situations that could debunk or interfere with the capture.  The ones on this site have been reviewed at least twenty times.  So, as far as Halloween night, I think we would have caught a lot more - but here are the ones that are pretty good and cannot be explained!

Int his clip you can hear us talking in the other room.  But at nine seconds, you can hear a CH, CH (:10), YES (:11) near the microphone.

The next one you can hear the TV from my daughter in the family room.  But at :04 someone says Tig-Ger near the mic followed by the snap that typically follows words :07.  Tigger is my sister who initially investigated her and who has had her named called by them before.

I love this one.  The TV isn't an issue.  Mac's room is empty.  So is the kitchen and laundry room.  There is clearly a MAN'S voice here that says, "Audrey." or something close...

I personally love this capture.  You can hear the TV in the background.  You can also hear us - me tagging the clip and asking questions about who we think it is.  This one has a whisper and if you can't hear it, you can't.  I can.  I ask if he prefers to be called James.  I don't hear an answer.  Then I say, "Jim?" and he quickly whispers, "James" :37.  I then ask his friends' names and he responds, "April" :50.  If you don't have ear buds, you probably won't hear it, but give it a few tries!

The next one will be a lot more clear for all of you.  All you can hear is the faint TV.  Nobody is in the three surrounding rooms.  At :09 you can hear an undeniable exhale into the mic.

Last one.  You can hear a clear "APRIL" at :02 followed by 2 CH CHs from earlier.

  1. Okay, these are some AWESOME (and I mean AWESOME) EVPs! I could hear most of them clearly the first time. And capturing the glass falling is pretty incredible. I do believe that the "kill kill kill" is him mimicking the sound of you typing (I think that's what you were doing). I also love the one where you think he says "your cratch". I can't come up with anything else it might be. Oh, and to top it off, we hear "Audrey" again and "one, knock, knock" just like the first one captured of him. AMAZING!
